Intense, yo. I can see why you recommend it so strongly. The concept is really interesting, I love plots that use psychology as a major plot device.
We'll see how the major characters fair from here on out, but I'm enjoying our Spike Spiegel-esc silent male protag! Heh.
Oh man, ep2. This plot is really good. The idea of "something familiar, yet something you've never seen before" comes to mind. An idea always sought out by media and storytelling.
Redefining a genre, but keeping the parts that people like and that have proven true through time. The whole dark past dog fighting for the master of "justice" plot is something seen often, but it feels nice.
The world is a really nice imagining of sci-fi too, it does well to sort of make itself familiar to other sic-fi cop series, yet is very interesting with holograms and mental health and societal control.
Okay, one more then I'm sleeping
Familiar, yet different... I feel like that is so much of what anime is to non-native people who watch and are fascinated by it in this generation. Japanese storytelling in the last few decades has always
managed to blend and lend itself to the American style and classic genres while still being culturally it's own. Japan's "borrow and change it" mentality that so many historians I know love to talk about.
I think that is what will make and has made anime travel so far overseas, and I'm anxious to see where it goes from here. How it will continue to influence and inspire people in generations and years to come.
Okay, yeah it is late if I'm just spouting this stuff. Gnight~ hahaha
Bounced back and bounced back again, with each pass it gets stronger. How shonen.
I REALLY LIKE THE WORLD. It's fucked.
Like I wish I knew alot more background and how things play out and auuugh.
There's nothing better than a good world.
;w;
Yeah, the world and feel of the series is really good : )
