Just in case you didn't hear, Loki is going to be a forest spirit. He's going to be a giant green snake. And he'll attack anyone who hurts the forest!

Loki's natural species is from a planet with almost no life on it. I'm sure his stomach is full of enough acid to kill anything that he might have been forced to eat had he been a regular frost giant.
