Hmmmm, potential cross-post flaw... Twitter character limit is 140 but the socialba crosspost seems to cap out at 138. Whut.
I'm coming over in a sec w/the key
We're gonna eat and then I'll head over
I take it this already happened? XD
Hey, Mika, what were you cooking when I left? Do you mind telling me the recipe?
When I was cleaning the sheets this morning
Er, this afternoon, I guess it was
Or, hm, was it before I came back and did the laundry...
You were saying it smelled nice
It was roasted garlic and rosemary whole wheat bread.
Though when you came back to do the sheets I was just cooking the leftover turkey Whitney hadn't used for her pasta bake and turning it into taco meat. XP But they both smelled good!
The latter is just standard taco procedure.
Made it because we have an excess of wheat flour and and excess of garlic, and we had some random rosemary in the fridge. Perfect!
Though--sidenote. I wouldn't recommend this as a first recipe, because as aforementioned its tremendous strength is in utilizing common, extant materials. But if you don't have all of these things, then you
end up paying like $20 upfront just to bake a $2 loaf of bread.
So building up your cupboard is a better plan. (And your selection of cookware.)
If you're interested in baking bread, I have a really good banana bread recipe; it uses yogurt to replace butter, so 1) you don't need to buy as much butter, and 2) you can use a tub of yogurt you already have.
It's a great way to use up old, gross bananas, and it's considerably faster/more forgiving than yeast breads. ;D
