I missed the development of Mrs. Tuggles. Are they newlyweds or is she merely shy & retiring?

I first met Mrs Tuggles when I was picking up doggie leavings in the yard. She and the Mister came ripping out of their hole with no small amount of noise and temporarily relocated to the adjacent woods.
