humming happily as he was walking by the area, almost stumbling over her when he turned the corner. He just blinked and crouched down to her level. "Astrid?"
looked down as soon as she noticed him, hearing his voice made her cringe more and try to seemingly shrink down away from him. ".. H-hej.."
frowned and tilted his head. "Hey, what's wrong?"
shook her head, looking down allowing her long hair to fall into her face. "Nothin.." She didn't want to tell him.
frowned more and put his hand on her cheek lightly. "Astrid, I know when somethin's up with ye..."
cringed, pulling away from him. "I.. do.. don't wan..t to talk a-about it." She was careful and trying to speak properly at this time.
hugged her tightly. "Hey... come on, don't hide from me. Ye've helped me tons of times in the past. I gotta repay ye."
hugged him back. "It's It's nothing.." She sounded awkward and forced.
could tell. "It takes a lot to put ye into this kind of mood..."
frowned a bit shaking her head. ".." She pulled away from him before digging through her bag pulling out a note book, she didn't want to talk. She wrote down "I talk badly."
blinks at that. "Nej, ye don't. Ye talk perfectly fine. It's a nic trait ye have."
shook her head more, her blond hair flying a little wildly. "Nej." She went back to the pad. "I don't. I can't speak English properly, everyone thinks I'm a freak, I just shouldn't talk anymore."
frowns, fixing her hair a bit. "Who said that to ye?"
scrawled quickly across her note pad. "I don't know them personally. A few people are in my program." Some of her words started to run together as she wrote quickly.
kissed her forehead. "Stay here." He got up and went to go look for them, figuring they'd be in a techy area.
made a face, she didn't know what he was going to do. But she stayed where she was told to.
just went to have a little chat with them.
pulled out a book as she waited for him. Knowing there was nothing she could do about this.
returned a while later, humming happily and bounced back to crouching in front of her. "How ye feelin' now?"
looked at him and shrugged. ".. Not much better.." She still felt like crap, with her speech impediment and accent it made her nervous.
chuckles a bit. "Come on, let's go get coffee. They won't be botherin' ye anymore anyways."
sighed a little and nodded, she tucked her book away and started to get up. ".. Y' didn' punch 'nyone did y'?"
shakes his head. "Nej, of course not. I need my hands for school."
smiled quietly. "Ja.. That's true.. What did y' say then?"
ruffled her hair a bit as he headed to the cafe with her. "I just told 'em not to mess with the sister of a med student. I know how to poison them without traces bein' left behind."
stopped and jsut stared at him. "... Y' didn'...!" She was trying not to laugh.
chuckled and put an arm around her shoulders. "Hey, no one bullies my sister and gets away with it. Besides, it'll teach them to smarten up and know that they should always be on their guard."
nodded, smiling a little more. "Tack bror." She hugged him. "'S jus hard sometimes.. That's all."
nods and rubbed her back a little. "I know. But that's what I'm here for. Ye're a strong person."
shook her head. "Nej, 'm not.. 've 'lways had y' t' protect me.." She was sure she'd be a very different person without him.
nods a little as he got to the cafe and ordered them coffee. "Ja, but if it wasn't for ye helpin' me I'd not be here. And ye've turned out perfect, in my mind at least."
smiled a little bit at that, she needed him just as much as he needed her. "Tack.. But I don' think I did."
chuckled as he handed her a coffee and went to put sugar and milk in his. "Ye just can't see the beauty in ye. Ye're beautiful on the outside as well as the inside."
shook her head. "Nej." She knew she was the 'exotic amazon' kind of beauty, but she didn't think much of that. She took her coffee and went to put her sugar in it.
still amazed she didn't have a boyfriend by now.
wondered what part of 'doesn't go out' and 'doesn't talk to anyone' doesn't he get?
... still thought she'd maybe meet someone online or something. She was on the computer a lot.
mainly went on tumblr when she was online. She normally was coding, or practicing her hacking skills. Not that she ever told him about her being a hacker...
(OMFG. WHAT THE HELL IS THAT. 8 )* )
(IT'S TERRIFYING AND WILL HAUNT MY DREAMS.)
wouldn't have been surprised. He knew she was talented and wouldn't question what she did online. He knew enough of computers to get by at least... but nothing comapred to her.
had never told him, but she had luckily never been caught hacking into anything illegal. She knew that most people didn't know much about computers compared to her or other tech students.
just would make sure to never piss her off. He wouldn't want to risk anything happening to his computer or ego.
agreed that that was a good idea. She could easily hack his computer and personal files. Even the school was no problem. As long as she wasn't on her personal computer, and wiped her ip address.
... just sipped his coffee as he watched her, making sure she was okay from what happened before.
wasn't okay, the thoughts were still going through her head as she sipped her coffee. She would only look at her brother if anyone else came neer, her eyes were on the table.
pushed some hair behind her ear. "Ye know how ye kept tellin' me not to listen to far's words? Same goes for the ones who talked 'bout yer speech. There's nothin' wrong with it... there's nothin' wrong with
ye. Ye're perfect just the way ye are, Astrid."
frowned a little, looking from him to the table, to the people. She sighed a little. "I... I can't help it.. 's hard not t' listen t' them.." She whined a little bit, playing with her cup.
nods. "I know, but ye are strong. Ye'll over come this."
shook her head. "Nej. 'M not strong. 'M not at all."
rolls his eyes. "Trust me, ja? Ye're great..." He tiled her chin up too look at him. "And trust me, ye are strong. Ye're the strongest woman I know."
smiled a little bit. "A-ah.. kay.." She looked down avoiding his eyes. "Tack bror.." She bit her lip. "Y'er strong too. Y' really are."
smiles at that. "We both have our down points. But overall, we're strong. Never forget that. It's okay to be down... but know that ye'll do better."
nods to him. "Mhmm.. Nothin wrong with it I guess..." She said quietly as she took a sip of her drink. "Y'll do so much better then what mum 'nd dad have y' b'lievin.."
sighs. "I hope so..." He sipped his coffee, looking down at it after.
smiled a little and nodded to him. "Y' will. I swear. I b'lieve in y' bror."
smiles at that. "M'glad someone does. I know ye'll do great, too." He leaned over to kiss her forehead lightly.
tucked some hair behind her ear and smiled a little. "Tack. We'll both do great, jus' t' spite mum 'nd dad."
nods. "Exactly. Then once we're done here, we'll move to the city. And get jobs."
nods to him. "Ja. 'Nd we'll never go back there. Ever." She never wanted to speak to her mother or father.
didn't either. He actually felt like a person here... He smiled and flicked her nose lightly.
made a sound and held her nose. "what the hell, bror?" She said quickly.
chuckles. "What? Just 'cause m'nice to ye doesn't mean I always gotta. I am the big bror after all."
made a face at this, she threw a balled up napkin at him.
laughed and threw it back at her.
threw it back laughing a little bit.
continued to throw it at her, having fun.
threw it back. She balled up another one and threw that.
got a few more, getting an armada started, and bombarded her.
saw the armada and reached over, stealing them for her empire. "Mine now." She smirked.
smirked before shaking his head. "Not faaair!"
hoarded them. "Y' didn' protect 'em well enough." She smirked.
chuckles. "At least I taught ye right, then."
smirked quietly. "Ja y' did." She stole more of his now dwindling amarda.
chuckled and just tossed the rest at her.
made a sound, and then stared at her coffee, and the floating napkin balls. "Welp... There goes m' coffee." She laughed quietly.
laughed a little at that. "I can get ye another if ye want."
shakes her head. "Nej, I don' need it." She hummed, and picked out the napkin squeezing the liquid from it.
smirks as he watched her. "That was fun, at least."
nods to him. "Ja it was." She hummed a little debating on throwing the wet napkin at him.
narrowed his eyes at her, almost being able to read her mind.
smiled innocently when he narrowed his eyes. "Hm?"
shakes his head a bit. "I know what ye're thinkin'."
continued to look innocent. "'M not thinkin 'nythin~"
hums. "Suuuuure. Like I trust ye."
blinked behind her glasses. "Y' should trust me."
chuckles. "I do, deep down. Just not right now."
stuck her tongue out at him and dropped the coffee napkin on his hand. "Y' can have this prisoner back. I don' want 'im... He's soggy." She covered her mouth as she laughed.
laughed at that and just put it on the pile for the others. "A good soul lost."
nodded. "He needs a m'morial." She started to build a tomb around it.
having so much fun. She kept building it until there was a pyramid around the soggy napkin. "There."
nods. "Perfect. A true grave for it."
nods. "Wait!" She rolled up part of a napkin and then pulled the top part out, making a flag. "There!" She set it down at the top the best she could. "Now 's marked."
couldn't help it anymore as he just lost it and laughed hysterically.
covered her mouth with both hands, it was really hard not to laugh when he started laughing like that.
couldn't help it. It was just too funny how far she took it.
couldn't help it. She was amused, and this was just too funny. She pulled out her phone to take a picture of her napkin tomb.
shook his head once he controlled himself. "Fanden. That was good..."
laughed at him a little. "'S so hard not t' laugh when y' start laughin like that."
smirks. "Not my fault my laugh is contagious."
nodded. "It really 's." She was so proud of heself for getting him laughing like that.
liked how she could make him laugh like that. If she wasn't his sister, he's sure they'd be together by now.
agreed with that, but she loved him being her brother, so that didn't matter.
wouldn't want to ruin the relationship they had now anyways. He smiled some more and leaned back. "How much more free time do ye have left?"
shrugged quietly. "I didn' want t' go t' class t'day actually." She shrugged.
