it's a pretty bad reason why-- we've had a lot of hate-related incidents on campus really with someone leaving racist/homophobic notes, etc

and now a KK member has apparently been spotted on campus so we're not having classes so we can band together as a college community

ugh why is someone doing this at this college of all places WHAT ARE THEY EXPECTING TO GAIN

at the same time i'm grateful for the break because now i actually have a chance to study for tests and catch up on my work and hahahahah wow i'm kind of in shock

i hope the college events for gathering will help us pull together, at least. everyone's running around all worked up (understandably)

the kkk is an unfortunate reality of this area even if they are relatively underground

but banding together against the hate is very empowering

I never realized that. The more you know I guess, blech. i really ought to know more about the place i'm living in dfkjfhj

but yes, i hope it turns out for the better once the events get underway

the worst part is that it stands for both your home home and your school home
