They may price themselves out for me... really, I don't really do anything but just hang out at Otakon... and it's not a con you can do anything at without a badge.

Honestly though, that's still way cheaper than most other non-fandom conventions
I had to register my boss for a bunch of environmental/auto conventions at my old job and those were always $100+
Well, those are more industry conventions. The educator conventions I went to were easily $250 + food plan
Yeah, the prices for things like that are nuts
A bit different from something with events run primarily by fans etc. No real "keynote" stuff either.
