if, perhaps, the human can tell him what is going on?
would rather not talk about and especially with a stranger. He downed the rest of the beer hunched over on the bar.
pauses, his movements a bit rigid due to the lack of oil. "Then perhaps a song for some spare coins?"
studies him and already notes certain things. "I can oil you up for a song if you'd rather"
him a crooked smile, nodding. It's probably the best he'll get. "What song do you like to listen to, sir?"
wonders if he can sing in German. "Do you know any German songs?"
to pause, his memory was mostly disatualized. "German song... No entries found." He comments softly. "Do you wish to upload any?"
shakes his head. "What's your favourite one to perform?" He didn't really care at the moment.
has, and plays on after he sits down, rocking to the song as his fingers move fast, his good eye glimmering a bit.
listens but doesn't feel better. It came with the day. "You have a beautiful voice." He says simply. He orders a shot, downing it.
nods. "Thank you." He replies, then waits. "What made you so unhappy?"
grows very silent but figures he's drank enough to vocalize it. "This is the anniversary of my parent's death." More like murder but the AI
didn't need to know that.
blinks. "Ah... My previous owner died too." he tries, although his voice doesn't sound like he shares the pain. Still, he minimally reaches out, and offers an awkward pat on the shoulders.
is slightly comforted by the AI's actions. "I owe you an oiling." He gets up steadying himself. "Follow me."
nods, placing his guitar over his shoulders as he sets after the other, not questioning the order.
isn't really surprised. "How long has your owner passed away?"
hums. "Unless my internal clock has been damaged, it's been eight years and five months, sir." He adresses the other cordially. "Do you wish further information on her?"
shakes his head. "No, that's enough. So you've been on the street ever since."
nods again. "Unfortunately. If the kind sir knows anyone in need of me, I'd feel thankful." He tries, drumming his fingers against the guitar.
studies him momentarily. "What can you do?"
blinks softly. "My previous owner adjusted me to cook, clean and entertain with music. Data on general conversations are also added, and there's still enough space on my memory for an upgrade, if more_
skills are to be installed. A change of parts, however, might be needed."
has noticed this. "Sounds like a family would be best for you."
shrugs. "Before her, I was programmed to fight, but said data has been erased." He nods, then, lips curling up. "She only kept a notion of punches. There's room for one more skill, but I suppose you're right."
turns down another street. "Is there a certain upgrade you'd like."
shakes his head. "I'd prefer to let my next owner decides whatever they need." he pauses. "See, I need money to fix the left side of my face, especially the eye."
pauses and glances at it. "What happened?"
smiles. "One of my owner's client dared hurt her, I got in the middle of the fight when I went to defend her."
's lip thins. "Sorry for all the questions but what was your owners occupation?"
no shame when he hums. "A prostitute."
thinks she must have been a wealthy prostitute. "Ah, I see." He assures the AI into the shop and immediately goes to grab the oil.
would assure she was. He stares around at the shop, then sits down in a corner, waiting for the oil. "You're a mechanic then, according to the surroundings."
comes back with the oil nodding. "Ja, that's exactly what I an."
would smile if he was human, but since he's not, he doesn't. Instead, the android blinks slowly, waiting. "Will you need to turn me off for that?" he has no idea how critical his state is.
glances up at him as he finishes up oiling him. "To fix the side of your face, ja, I would have too. Does that bother you?"
looks away, hiding it. "It's not a bother, sir." Of course it is.he has some money on his pockets, though. "I have 500 coins to pay it, however."
would rather not charge him at all but nods. "We'll take about payment after I'm done, ja?"
smiles a bit. "Thank you." he hums, then slowly tilts his head down, showing Ludwig the button to turn him off.
gives him a small smile as he presses the button and catches the limp android before setting everything up for the repairs.
falls as soon as he is turned off, and then everything is black.
managed to get him propped up as he starts working on the eye. The damage was a lot more severe than he had anticipated.
's guitar falls down with a thud. His left side is quite damaged, with the circuits underneat barely working, eye not even working.
's lips thin and he ends up working for nearly six hours none stop trying to fix him up. He straightens the droids shoulders to look at his
handy work and feels decently pleased. He polishes it up before turning Gabriel on. (( Ja, sorry, it was acting up on me. ))
slowly comes to his senses as he is turned on again. He notices his vision is fairly better, and new circuits are running as he looks down at Ludwig. He... doesn't know what he feels, just running a hand over_
the now-fixed side of his face. "New pieces detected. New vision installed. I thank you a lot, sir." he hums, then taps his pockets and hands him a pouch with 400 coins.
blinks at the money. They were supposed to negotiate the price. "You want to pay me 400? Don't you want to save a bit of money?"
Shrugs. "I was saving money for just that." He explains. "Now I can certainly find a job, and robots don't eat." He jokes, insisting. "You lost your parents, no?"
(( Ludwig told him that earlier! XD))
(( Oh fuck...I was reading through it and totally skipped that....))
(( I'll just delete it...hold on. sighs ))
's expression hardens and he swallows. "Ja...I did."
smiles a bit and rests the pouch in his hands, then gives the other a hug.
hadn't been expecting the hug but relaxes into it letting himself take comfort in the simple action.
pats the other's back gently, smiling softly. He hugs him for a while, leaving the other to pull back whenever he wishes. "Your parents wouldn't want to see you so down."
pulls away trying to keep his welling emotions down. "No...probably not."
smiles at him. "But if you need to talk, I can listen." He offers, patting the other's shoulder. "It's not... Solely a human thing."
wouldn't know what to talk about or where to start really. "I'm sorry for your lose too..."
shakes his head. "When we are designed, we already... Know of our expiration date, it's nothing to be sad over." He sighs. "If you ever need a song, however, I can play."
grateful for that. "I'm guessing you're always near that bar?"
nods. "Yes, I most certainly will be, until I find a new job."
nods. "I'll make sure to seek you out when I'm there next."
stands up. "As you should. But now, if you excuse me, I must leave." He adds, ever cordial, programmed to be as invisble to humans as possible.
nods again. "Hopefully we'll cross paths again. Good luck."
hesitates, remembering his previous owner for a moment. Still, he shakes his head, adjusts the guitar over his shoulder and walks off, saving the adress in his data.
