I will be honest and say that the AA always make me feel like I'm failing as a player.

I have to make myself just not care about it.

I always do the most with First Aid, but he hasn't been on AA for the last two times. I kinda figure the fact he does so much varied stuff = why he hasn't been there?

It almost feels like some character types will never make it unless they go OOC or stick to one aspect.

It may be a perception thing for me, cause I don't see the things I do with my characters varying all that much, but maybe it is just enough to cause a negating effect...

It just feels more like a punishment than a reword to me.

There is no 'wrong' way to go about it, honestly!

I just wish there was a way to have there be rewords without it just feeling like playing in a popularity contest.

Without going into exhaustive detail, I can say that the 'points' are only there to make sure characters get recognition they are due by NPCs.

It's not a bad thing to not get changes, not at all! And some characters will get faster changes than others simply by virtue of their character type and personalities.

A character who communicates with their FF or does tasks that they approve of (and mentioning these tasks in the AC!) are more likely to gain their favor - but this isn't a race or contest in the slightest.

Give stuff out for event participation

Everyone is capable of gaining higher alignment without sacrificing their characterization or play style, or playing more than they are comfortable with.

machinisms: FA should actually be on it this round because he did increase pretty significantly in Alignment to Megatronus this time.

We had a couple issues with the spreadsheet this round so I'll have to fix that when I'm home. It might be the case for a few more of Megs' guys.

Though it sounds to me like the issue is mainly one of a lack of feedback: I have some characters in Megatronus' group that are gaining alignment, but are doing so very slowly for a variety of reasons.

For them, the gradual change isn't really obvious until they hit the point where suddenly they get a power. We'll see what we can do to help those muns get a better idea of where their guys stand with their FF.

galaxia: I think you've misinterpreted a few things I've said in the past, Jami. Starscream's personality isn't "canceling out everything;" he often takes actions that prevent me from giving him as much of an

increase as I'd like to. That's not a bad thing, and it's not you failing as a player. He is in fact still gaining Alignment currentlyl.

It was a big pain. Things were showing up where they weren't supposed to be or being added to the wrong column no matter where it was typed in at.

We all had to go through manually.

Anyway, after a lengthy discussion, we've decided that the only fair way to go about it is to have the Firstforged distribute colourful envelopes and cards to their Glyphed.

Also they are invited up to join their FF in their penthouse hot tub.
