Mrs. Ojibway and I stopped at the Bird Store to get a treat for the birds. They said a compressed cylinder of various seedsm, raisens, and other fruits would be good.
We worried that the squirrel population would get all the seeds and the birds would get none.
They said "no problem" we have a holder designed just for that purpose, for a little more money... so we got it.
