Get this! My oldest foster kid (18) just came in to my office to tell me he closed his laptop on his headphones, and BROKE THE SCREEN!!! :-o

That's right... the one I bought him for Xmas! Only lasted 2 months... I'll be paying for it the next year or so! (tears)

I bought 5 laptops for 5 kids this xmas - 3 of them for kids aged 13, 17 and 18. Never again! They just don't comprehend the value of things

Can be repaired. Had the same w/ a Gateway laptop I had. Cost me $600, but... Also, you can plug in external monitor in meantime.

Use external monitor & keyboard/mouse and it can be a desktop computer for a while. ;-)

that's what he's doing... repairs will be on him! He better be getting a job soon. $600! I didn't pay that much in the first place(fainting)

Mine was a $2000 17" widescreen. Maybe yours will be less? Scottley might be able to fix it? We have a few guys here who do screen changes.

it's a dell with a 12" screen? Got it on their refurb site... paid around $500. They had some great deals before Xmas.

I broke the screen on my laptop, bought a brand new one on e-bay for about $100 and installed it myself. The directions on how to install

it were online, I just googled the make and model and it gave me step by step instructions, it was really easy and cheap!!
