It's called a Private Plurk. You can cursor over someone's name, get a dropdown menu and choose "Send private Plurk".

Or in the window for typing up a plurk, click on the padlock and you can choose whether you want your Plurk to go public, only to your (entire) friendslist, or to one or more people whose usernames you enter.

And if there's a small group of friends you'd like to regularly send private plurks to, you can create a clique ...

You begin the Plurk with [PRIVATE JUICY STUFF FOR <name>] and etiquette demands that the rest of us not read it (evilsmirk)

it's not a bad idea to link to their name in your plurk, just to be sure they see it. there's no particular notice you get if someone makes a PP, only if you are mentioned in [any] plurk

(I get notices of PP via email)

even with no link to your account name in the purk?

Otenth: Yes indeed. I just tested it.

I just sent you a PP with no mention of your name. Let me know if you received notification. I think that it's configurable, so you may have turned it off.

I don't get either as far as I know. That is, I don't get notices for PP or name links.

Jayleden: You can set your preferences to email notification in the "My Account" settings, under the Privacy tab.

Yes. I always get an email if it's a private plurk that I should know about

Or ya could do what I do, check Plurk obsessively throughout th'day, and ya won't need email notifications. (unsure)
