the warm weather is rather nice and well worth enjoying.
agrees. It's a shame Turkey is stuck in winter just like most others.
decent weather right now, it's not to bad, not as warm as he'd like but it's still light jacket weather.
would rather not have to wear a jacket at all, which is why he's remaining in his warm little corner of the globe.
might have to come visit him just for the warmth in that case.
would offer Turkey the chance to escape the cold and visit the outback, if he so wished.
would gladly take it, he figured he could avoid work for a while.
offers him the opportunity then. The nation should just call him up when he was near so that they could meet up.
gave him a call when he arrived at the airport, he was surprised his damn phone actually worked for him for once.
picks up the phone, folding the corner of the page he was on. 'Yello?'
had to juggle a bag as he waited for a cab. "Hey kid, where should I meet you?"
frowns, 'I'm not a kid...' He gives the Turk directions to give to the cab driver, brushing himself off as he goes to catch a cab himself.
smirked a bit at that as he thanked him and hung up, relating the instructions to the cab driver as he got in.
kicks about the meeting place, having picked a street known for it's restaurants, guessing the Turk could do with some good food.
got out of the cab when they got to the place, he'd only brought a small bag with him. It didn't take him long to spot the Australian.
decked out in surf shorts and a tank top, standing when he spots the Turk. 'Do you feel like food?'
looked over at him and nodded with a small smile. "Sure, food would be good."
nods, 'There's a good Turkish place nearby?'
shifted his bag to the other shoulder and shrugs. "I wouldn't mind something else, your pick though."
nods, 'Alright... We have BBQ places, French and Italian and then your Hungry Jacks and McDonalds...?'
raised a brow at that, "how about the BBQ place?" he couldn't help but look him over before he shifted his attention to the street.
nods, 'BBQ it is then.' He nods towards the other side of the plaza, to an artificially rustic storefront before leading the way. 'How was the flight?'
let him lead the way as he followed. "It was as to be expected." He tucked his free hand in his pocket.
Looks over his shoulder with a grin, 'I'll make it worth your while...' There is a pause, 'Snorkling in the Great Barrier Reef should do it, right?' He opens the door for the Turk.
watched him as he followed and chuckled a bit. "That sounds like fun, but I might have to think about it."
shrugs, 'Your loss. It's pretty brill if I say so myself.'
gets the door to the restaurant for him. "I'll consider it."
Blinks in surprise before thanking him and stepping in. He asks for a table for two, by the windows.
Hums, 'I hope you didn't just come here thinking you'd do nothing for a couple of days.'
followed him in and shrugged a bit as they waited to be shown their table. "Of course not. I came here for the warm weather and pleasant company."
smiles when they're led to a window table on the mezzanine floor, out looking the street. He takes the seat furthest away, grinning. 'You'll need to introduce me to this pleasant company.'
takes the other seat and leans back a bit as he laughed softly. "Yes I should introduce you, you might learn a thing or two. So how are you doing William?"
grins, 'You can only bring a camel to water, you can't make it drink.' He shrugs at the question, 'Could be better... if I'm being honest. But that's the case for everyone so...'
smirked at his words as the waiter came and took their drink orders. "Yes it seems to be a general opinion as of late."
orders himself a glass of water, and asks for a starter to be brought with their drinks. 'How are you?#
for a glass of water as well. "I am fairing well all things considered. Been kept from boredom." He shrugs.
if they could bring a jug instead when they order the same. 'What's been keeping you from boredom?'
shrugs as he leans back a bit and looks over at him. "Been visiting people."
stares back, eyebrow raised. 'Practising?' he asks, smile sly.
raises a brow at that, "what would I need to practice?"
