No, Danton, you don't have the right to call other amoral.
Theroigne is a lot more pitiful than I expected, Mantel did a good job with her and how childish she seems
In spite of trying to make herself into this larger-than-life figure
The foreshadowing is a little heavy-handed again with Camille wondering what will happen to him if Danton and Max ever disagree
I feel so bad for Gabrielle, and then Danton is like
(addressing the reader directly) "I expect you like her, most people do"
DANTON I'M GOING TO KICK YOU IN THE FACE. IT MIGHT IMPROVE YOUR APPEARANCE
I'm not sure if I should keep at this plurk when I'm reading less dense books though
I have Girl With a Dragon Tattoo only because it was 0.99 on Kindle one day during holiday break
But it doesn't seem like something worth writing down impressions for...then again I know nothing about it yet
As for what to read next, probably Bring Up the Bodies which is the sequel to Wolf Hall
fightingoutside how do you feel about Thomas Cromwell and would it seem odd if a number of positive comments about him suddenly appeared here...
We talking about Henry VIII's minister here?
I HAVE NO STRONG FEELINGS EITHER WAY?
He wasn't a bad dude, but he did some questionable things. Par for course during Tudor times that. x'D
That is a balanced opinion, and in reality the book's portrayal of him is fair as well (although there's some bias toward him for sure)
I just had this insensible phase when I was reading it of being horribly starry-eyed.
As in, "this is how I wish I'd written my protagonists"...or something.
Oh, bless! WELL, WHY NOT?
And it will happen all over again with the next book.
SOBS IT WAS PREDICTABLE REALLY
