while I put in my sky and she got to observe. She has outdone her instructor on still lifes... (recent example follows) but at least I get bragging rights for teaching her.

She has been painting a little over 5 years now... I recall that I had been studying about 5 years when my instructor finally cut me loose. Best 5 years I've ever invested.
