I just got back from the vet with my dog since he’s gone about two weeks without eating well. He’s been throwing up and having diarrhea as well. His hind legs were having problems.

Like he was having trouble jumping on the bed all of a sudden.

The vet said he had a really high calcium level in his blood. Dogs normally run at an 10 or 11 and his was around 15.

She said there were a few things it could be. Either Addison’s disease or a thyroid problem, which both while not curable are manageable and the dog can live a normal life into old age.

The other thing she said it could be was cancer that was hiding somewhere

I find out the results for the thyroid in Monday or Tuesday and the others I should hear back by the end of next week or the following.
