frowns slightly as he anchors his ship on the coast, checking his map -- well, if he didn't fail to reach India yet again.
throws a rock at the nation, rather testy over foreigners invading his land. They always brought something along with them that made his people cough and then die!
winces, rock hitting his forehead as he walks off the ship. Right.. So it was populated, hopefully they also be wearing clothes this time. «Oi, I come in peace!» he shouts.
covered in paint, a small little cloth covering his modesty as he steps out from behind a bush. He has another rock in hand.
raises one eyebrow at them, sighing a bit at the heat as he takes a step back, raising both hands. «Do you understand me?» he tries speaking slowly, making gestures.
Replies in bad very very bad English. 'Idiot. Not English!' That's a no... But the fact that Portugal isn't English seems to get him to drop the rock. Q
nods, switching to English. "Right... My name is Gabriel." He smiles a bit, then reaches a hand over to let the kid shake it. "I am from Portugal." He continues to speak slowly, with simple words.
Stares at the hand, not at all sure what to do with it. 'Australia,' he replies, eyes narrowed.
laughs a bit. "Oh, you're supposed to shake it!" he hums, kneeling down and waving his hands. "Do you have a name, Australia?"
tries to think about that, coming out with something that is nearly incomprehensible. It's a name his people use for him. He's frowning as the man starts to laugh though, eyebrows knitting.
blinks. "Right..." he nods, then smiles a bit. "Do you mind if I call you Guilherme?" he smiles softly, patting the boy's head. "I came here in peace, and my men right now want nothing but a place to rest..._
Do you think we could be friends?" ((Guilherme is the equivalent in Portuguese to William, btw))
swats his arms with the pats, eyes narrowing with the question. 'Can't! People get ill when you guys visit.' He's pouting up at the man, 'I don't like you.' That's a no.
sighs. "If I promise your people won't get ill, will you let me stay?" he pouts a bit, tilting his head. "C'mon, Guilherme, I'm trying to be friendly..." He supposed the child was talking about the flu,_
which could be managed easily... Or so he hoped.
's people have next to no immunity against most diseases out there. It's what happens when you're so isolated. '...I will show you place but you can't leave it.'
nods. "That works for me." He supposes when his men settled, they'd eventually solve this matter... Besides, a new colony was always welcome. "I'll also have to teach you Portuguese. English is not my language_
so you should... Well, it'll be managed." he hums, tapping his pocket as he pops a small slice of caramel into his mouth.
eyes narrow at the food, holding out a hand expectantly. 'Don't wanna study.'
laughs at that, pinching his cheek before he hands out a small slice of it. "But you will. It's going to be quick and simple." he winks, looking around. "Do you have parents, Gui?" Obviously asking if his_
tribe has a ruler or something.
takes it, moving away with the food as though he would take it back. He stuffs it in his mouth, 'Mmf,' he says, chewing on his food as he nods. He holds out his hand for more.
pockets the rest of the candy. "Not until you have dinner, young man." he pokes the other's nose, and honestly, what a cute child! "Have manners."
tries to bite his finger. He doesn't like being told 'no' apparently. 'What are manners?'
sighs. "It's acting polite, and being friendly and nice." he waves a hand, trying to explain it. "It's also eating the dessert after the food, and praying on sundays. And say 'Bom dia'."
repeats 'Bom Dia.' He holds his hand out for more, expectantly.
shakes his head. "No, 'bom dia' is for 'good morning. To ask something, you need to say 'por favor', and after you receive it, 'obrigado."
huffs, cheeks puffing out. 'Por favor,' he repeats, wanting the food already. This guy was demanding.
hands the candy then. "And that's it. Enough candy, or you'll get sick." he pouts a bit.
pouts back, making a bit of a face as he moves away again to eat it. 'Mean.'
laughs. "I won't steal your candy, you can stay close... Stealing is a sin, did you know that?" he instructs again, walking a bit ahead to see what the new land has to offer. "And you forgot to thank me."
tries to remember the word, the sound muffled as he chews. 'Obrig.' He scrambles to stop the nation's progress, arms held out wide. as he stands in front of him 'You can't. They'll kill you.'
it's a progress. He blinks, then looks down. "But I need to talk to them, and colonize the place..." he hums, taking a step back. Right, he had his guns at hand, but he wanted to settle it peacefully.
grabs onto his leg before biting it. 'I said no! They die from...' He struggles to find the word, acting out coughing instead. 'And red stuff comes out!'
winces. "OUCH!" he yelps, kicking him off. "Tuberculose...?" he blinks, sighing heavily. "Listen, just let me talk to the elder, alone, will you?"
falls on his butt with the kick, wiping his face. It looks like he might start to cry, hiccuping. 'I-I don't want them to die -hic- again, idiot.'
pauses. "Wait, wait, no!" he hushes, scrambling to grab the boy on his arms, patting him. "There, there... Papa promises no one will die, yes?" he sighs, trying to hum a song so the other'll calm down.
starts to wiggle as he's picked up, the action only upsetting him more and tipping him over into tears. 'Nooo,' he groans, hiccuping as he wipes at his eyes.
winces, patting his head. "Shhh, hush, Guilherme..." he tries, wiggling him a bit. "Nothing will happen, do you hear me? They won't die..." he looks at the small boy, worried.
starts to calm down as he's wiggled, hand going to Gabriel's jacket as he hiccups. 'Don't gooooo...' he tries, sniffling. 'I'll bring her here... okay?'
smiles, pecking his forehead. "Yes, that'll work wonders." he grins, wiggling and playing a bit more with the boy before he settles him down.
finally somewhat calm, although he doesn't look happy with all this. 'T0morrow.'
sighs. "Where will I sleep tonight, then?" He whines, looking down at the other.
raises an eyebrow... The man sounded whiney. 'There?'he asks, pointing to the ship. He slept outside anyway so he didn't get the man's problem.
smiles a little. "Well, you're a smart one." he jokes, nodding. "Right, you're welcome on board, Guilherme, and there'll be dinner prepared there, if you need."
holds up his arms, thinking if the man was willing to carry him he didn't need to walk. 'Will I get more chewy stuff?'
picks him up - what a lousy child. "After dinner. He carries the Australian to the ship, humming as the men start to light up the lanterns, a pretty sigh.
laughs as he's picked up. He could get used to this... 'Wait! I forgot my friend!'
pauses. "Oh, your friend?" He puts the child down, waiting and expecting a bird, or a small mammal.
scampers into the trees only to return with an angry looking Koala on his back and a snake around his upper arm. He holds out his arms again to get picked up.
sighs. Well, Luciano had showed up with a jaguar. "Ah, I can't take the snake on the ship." He comments, smiling awkwardly.
looks at the snake, 'But she's only little...'
pats him. "My men will kill her... The koala can stay." He tries, knowing the uproar the snake'd cause.
pouts a little before taking the snake off. 'They sound like idiots.' He walks past the man towards the ship.
shrugs. "They can be... Snakes have killed many of my men." He lets the other, introducing the other as his son.
makes a noise of protest, tugging on his trousers. 'I'm not!'
pats. "You are now, Guilherme, and I'll take good care of you." He reassures the other, ordering his men to set dinner ready in his cabin.
doesn't sound happy, nor does his Koala look over the moon at the prospect. 'Why?'
hums and pats his head. "Because the world out there is big and cruel, and if it's not me, it's my brother or worse, England."
doesn't understand... 'Why not just me?' He moves to hug his Koala, looking around at the men on the ship. They kind of all smelled. 'Will they move here?'
picks him up, carrying his to his cabin. "I'm not that bad a father... You'd have many brothers and sisters." He tries, shaking his head. "No, not them... But other people will."
clings tighter to his Koala, their hilarious little frowns matching. 'But we don't look alike...' It's true, he's cursed with thick eyebrows and green eyes.
smiles a little, those'd probably change with time. Besides, the child looks way too cute. He settles them both in a chair, dinner served, and begins to eat his portion of the fish -- Gabriel's cabin was_
a bit lacking in decoration, but it had a map and a few golden objects. "Now eat, before it goes cold."
Huffs, crossing his arms as he sits in the older man's lap. He ignores the food, reaching for one of the said golden objects after a while, 'I don't want to eat that.'
smiles a bit. "That's called a compass." He instructs, reaching for the fork to feed the other. "At least try it? It's yummy, and you'll sleep better with your belly full."
Holds his lips together, tilting his head back to give the older nation a defiant look. That's a no... His hands grasp tightly onto the compass, not wanting to let go of the shiny object.
*his other hand grasps tightly
chuckles, then pokes his chin. "What about this... If you try my food, I'll tell you what the shiny object does, hm?"
about this before reaching for a piece of fish with his hands. He pops the food into his mouth rather quickly, looking up to Gabriel expectantly.
waits to see if he'll find the food tasty or not, surprised the other agreed so easily. He laughs a bit, then takes the compass in his hand, flipping it open and switching his speech to Portuguese -- the kid_
had to learn it. «This is a compass. It points north, and it's used for navigation.. You know what it means? When you take a boat, and sail. See the arrow? It changes, and with this, no one ever gets lost.» He_
also makes gestures as he speaks, trying to make sure everything is explained enough, and the boy's learned a few words too.
eats it, meaning he must not hate it. He stares at the man rather blankly when he starts to speak in Portugese, trying to scramble out of his hold as he gets bored.
sighs, shaking his head as he translates what he said to the stupid English, eating a bit of the fish himself before he goes back to feeding the other. "C'mon... You'll have to learn it one day."
makes a face, 'Sounds stupid.' He eats a little more with some prompting, although he's making all sorts of faces about it.
doesn't care about his faces, and just keeps feeding him until he's sure the child has eaten enough. "It's not... Tomorrow, after I meet with your tribe's elder, I'll teach you more of it." he nods to himself,_
finally going to eat himself.
shakes his head, 'I don't wanna learn it though.' When Portugal stops feeding him he starts to try and wiggle out of his hold again, wanting to find his Koala bear. He starts speaking in his own native tongue,_
the occassional English word slipping in as he calls out for his bear.
lets him go, sighing tiredly. "Why not?" Right, he's done this before, he can do it again, but... He pauses, resting his fork aside and rubbing his temples -- he was getting too old for this.
finds his bear, holding him up as he looks at Gabriel. 'Too much work,' he explains, trying to scramble up onto the bed with his bear. He only ends up falling back down however, landing on his bum.
pouts a bit. "But you learned English, and it's such a... it's not my language, not yours." he pauses, laughing a bit as he goes to stand up, picking him up with the bear. "That's my bed, you know...."
raises an eyebrow when he's picked up, the bear coming with him. 'Only to tell people like you to go away,' he replies. He'd learned it off previous visitors, all who had decided he wasn't worth colonising.
sits on the bed, placing Australia on it next to him. He seems a bit hurt by that, and crosses his arms, thinking a bit. "That's not how you thank me for the food, you know..." he smiles. "And when you learn_
my language, I can take you to see my place... And sail with me, perhaps. You'll have work ahead, but I don't think it's nothing you can't manage." he chuckles, thinking a bit.
scrambles to stand on the bed when he's seated, letting his Koala curl up in the middle as he starts to bounce. He's only half listening to Gabriel, 'Don't wanna go to your 'place',' he informs the older nation
rather petulantly, sticking out his tongue.
frowns, reaching over to lightly tug the other's ear -- more of a warning than to hurt him. "Don't jump on the bed! And show me some manners, child, I am your elder, and you have to respect me." he hisses,_
staring pointedly into the other's eyes.
makes a sound when his ear is tugged, looking at the other when he's challenged. He tugs on Gabriel's ear in response, 'No. You're not my elder. My elder is my elder.' He obviously didn't understand the breadth
rolls his eyes. "It means I'm older than you." he pauses, swatting the other's hand away. "I'm trying to make this easy for both of us, but you're being stubborn and testing my patience..." he leans back,_
deciding it's time to lie and scare the child a bit. "It'll only end up worse for you, my men are only waiting for orders to settle down in your lands, actually..."
rubs his hand when he's swatted, pouting at the other. He starts to tear up a bit with the threat though, rubbing at his eyes. He scrambles to his Koala bear burying his face in his fur, 'I won't let you.'
blinks slowly, then smiles. "Then will you at least try to be more friendly...?" he tries, voice more sweet as he crosses his arms. "I've done nothing to you, Guilherme..."
makes a small noise of agreement, although he doesn't sound over the moon about it. 'Not yet...'
pats his head, nodding. "It won't happen..." he assures, then smiles and jumps to his feet. "I have an idea, sit tight." he instructs, searching around in his room until he finds a book, filled with sea charts_
and illustrations of many cities from Portugal and its colonies. "Here, let me show you..." he sits on the bed again, showing him a world map. "See the areas in red? It's as far as my kingdom goes."
glances at the book over the top of his Koala. He'd never seen a map before, 'Where am I?'
taps it, one of the areas left without colour. "There's you. And Here's me." he smiles. "And everything you see is the world..." He'd have to paint the land as his next, and it certainly helped that in Europe,_
they were aware of the lands even if technically, no one bothered occupying it.
(portie's areas in 1910 were the dark green ones, just so ya know...)
moves a little closer, staring at the map. 'Everyone is so far away from me...' He points to all the yellow blocks, 'Who's that?' ((He's pointing to the British empire xD ))
hesitates, before he blinks. "That is... Inglaterra, or the Império Inglês, as you wish..." he hums. "Arthur Kirkland is a bitter man, and a liar." he hisses. "You should stay away from him."
((thing is, during 1900s Portugal was so pissed at England over the British Ultimatum and the Pink Map, I'm surprised their alliance didn't go to hell right there... no no friendship. =/))
blinks up at the other, nodding since the reaction seems rather extreme. This Arthur guy must be a tyrant... 'Okay. What does he look like, so I know?'
laughs. "Well, he's always frowning and huffing.. And drinking tea." he points to his forehead. "And his eyebrows are very big, and ugly."
reaches up to touch his own eyebrows, frowning slightly. 'Like mine?'
shakes his head. "Worse... His eyebrows are so big, he needs to hide it with a hat." he jokes, so the child wouldn't feel so bad about them. As soon as he settled, and Guilherme became his son, they'd go away.
hums, nodding slightly in response to that. He still runs his fingers along them however, 'What did he do to you?'
((What is the Pink Map? ))
((it was basically like this: Portugal had control over Angola, Moçambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe since the age of discoveries and all. England, however, felt like building a railroad connecting Cabo and Cairo,_
so he just went on with the 1860s Ultimatum, basically to Portugal kindly hand over Zambia and Zimbabwe to England. Diplomatic issues, Portugal did not have an army strong enough to go on a war, the French and_
Germans simply shrugged it off, so handed they were.))
sighs. "Took my children as his..." he smiles bitterly.
((1890, not 1860, sorry.))
nods, 'But they're not really your kids, like me, right?'
shifts a little. "They've been mine since a good four centuries ago, or something..." he hesitates. "But no, they weren't." he sighs, looking down at the map.
reaches down to run his hand over the map. 'Which ones were they?' he asks, deciding that if he maybe talked about it he would look a bit happier.
taps the dark-green areas to the south of Africa. "These two are Angola and Moçambique... Luana (Angola) is a very lively girl, you'd have fun with her." he chuckles. "And the pink are in between is what_
I lost... They were precious boys, if not a bit short-tempered." he hums. He did suppose the short-temper ran in the family.
nods, shifting closer to sit beside him. His Koala is in his lap. 'I don't wanna be green. Can't we be blue?'
laughs loudly at that. "Of course we can be blue! I'll redraw you a map, and we will all be blue, deal?" he pinches the other's nose, glad the child was warming up to him. "And that up on the wall is my flag."
nods, grinning up at the older man. 'I'll show it to my elder when you've done it then!' He looks down at the map, 'I'm really big, huh?'
nods, grinning back. "Great, I'm sure he'll be very proud! And one day, you'll learn how to draw maps too." he hums, nodding and patting the other's head. "Well, it is getting late... I should put you to_
sleep." he instructs, standing up. "Some blanket should do... Where will you sleep?" he scratches the back of his neck, thinking.
pats the bed, already starting to lie onto it with his bear. 'Here?'
crosses his arms. "That's my bed... Are you going to share it?" he nudges him -- honestly, a bear and a child... God help them.
considers that before shifting to make room for Gabriel. 'You didn't give me any of the chewy stuff again...'
takes off his heavy coat, hat and boots, settling down in his pants and undershirt. "Oh, right..." he sits up and grabs another slice of caramel for him, handing it to the child. "Boa noite."
makes a face when he starts to get undressed, although it brightens up with the sweet. He noms on the piece of caramel, waiting for Gabriel to climb in. 'Boa noite~' he repeats, thinking it was the sweet's name
laughs. "The candy is called caramelo, by the way, so next time you need it, but.. only after meals." he hums, turning his back on the child to sleep.
blinks a bit, before repeating the word. 'What does Boa noite mean?'
pauses. "Oh, it means good night. Bom dia is for good day, boa tarde is for good afternoon, and boa noite is for good night." he waves a hand, explaining.
finishes his sweet, turning to his Koala to snuggle in for the night. 'Ohh...' He's not all that interested, but he'll probably remember Boa noite.
quite accomplished for that. He sleeps tight, snoring lightly through the night, waking up only next morning. Right, now to negotiate with the natives...
spread out on his side of the bed when Gabriel wakes up, snoring quietly.
smiles a bit at that, running his hands over the boy's head before he sneaks out, light on his feet, to take a bath and put on proper clothes, loudly waking up the crew next.
sleeps through it all until he hears the loud commotion. It causes him to wake with a start, eyes scanning the room.
outside, giving orders. He shouts and walks around, until everyobe is up to work and only then he returns to his cabin, to wake up Guilherme.
up by the point, trying to open the door. He falls back onto his bottom when the door opens, looking up at the nation with a frown.
raises an eyebrow at that frown. "I see you're already up, that was rather quick..." He sighs. "However, our provisons have ended for the breakfast."
nods, 'Are you all hungry?'
nods back. "You'll have to help us with that." He shrugs, keeping his gun the holster and a knife. "Fruits will do."
nods, looking somewhat apprehensive at the order. He trails after the man as he walks around the room, 'Okay.'
organizes his room a bit, showing the maps and drawings into drawers, next, he walks out of the room, keeping the door open. He motions for a small group, three men, to follow them. "Don't forget your bear!"
looks to the bear who's sleeping. 'We won't be back?' he asks, eyeing up the three men with suspicion.
nods. "These men will." He points. "After they've stocked and repaired the ship... Me and you, we'll talk to your elder."
Goes to wake up the bear then, letting it climb on his back where it promptly falls asleep again. 'They can't come,' is all he says as he exits the room.
nods. "Not to the meeting with the elder..." He tries, motioning for the men to follow them. If they were lucky, they'd be able to fish and stock fruits and meat for the trip back. Such a cast land had to have_
something. "Let's go?" He smiles, offering a hand.
to adjust his hold on the koala before he can take the older man's hand. He looks a lot chirpier when they're outside, running ahead once they leave the boat. He stands at the edge of vegetation, already_
Picking something that looked like tiny apples.
to run a bit when they're outside, eventually letting go of William to let him run free. He stares in curiousity at the tiny apples, grabbing one of them and nipping on it.
|It's a sweet tasting fruits, once of the few indigenous fruits in Australia that you can eat raw and enjoy. 'Do you like it?'
nods. "It's delicious. Does it have a name?" He gestures for his men to try them too, and take a few for the others.
pops one into his mouth, smiling as he tells him. 'Munthari.' The area has a lot of them, several bushes full of the berries.
www.sydneyessential.com....
nods at that, pulling a little notebook from one of his pockets, scribbling the name and drawing the fruit. "Right." He stands up, ordering his men to stand by. "Are there any poisonous things I should know_
of?" He guessed many, it was more so the boy'd tell him which.
replies, 'Everything. Unless I say so...' It's the safest rule to go by.
blinks. "Alright." He takes note of that too. Well, that explains why it hadn't been colonised yet.
wanders off to a tree full of deep red plums, 'These are really...' He scrunches up his face, trying to represent the word for sour. 'But good if cook them.'
looks up, writing down the tree and the plums. His drawings are horrendous, but these are only so he'll remember and properly describe them later. "Bitter? Salty? Sour?" He tries, so as to help the boy.
jumps when he says the last, 'Sour!' He leads him over to some wild rice, something Gabriel should be able to notice by now... you'd hope.
pauses next the the plant, inspecting it before he scribbles. Good, rice would make for great provision. "Ah, perfect..." He grins, looking around so as to locate himself -- his men should be able to find it_
with ease. "How's the soil here?"
shrugs, 'I dunno. Things grow...?' He hasn't really tried to introduce non-native plants. From the looks of things though, anything that could grow here would need to be rather tough.
nods. "Very well..." He guesses, checking the trees and taking notes before he pockets his notebook. "Very well, to meet your elder now, huh?"
trying to put it off. He adjusts his old on the Koala, before sighing. 'Only you though.'
nods. "My men are at the coast, they're staying there." He agrees, waiting for the other to lead the way.
leads him further and further into the bush until he holds up a hand to stop him. 'I'll bring her here!' He looks around, before pointing to a spider. 'Don't go near that.' And with that ominous warning he_
leaves the older nation there.
eyes the spider warily, taking a step to the side. Still, he waits as he's been told, hands on his pockets.
returns with an old woman, chatting away to her as he carefully helps her through the overgrowth. 'She said you're all pests,' he greets Gabriel.
choses to ignore it, smiling a bit at the old woman and bowing in greeting. "Good morning." he greets her in English, waiting to see if she speaks anything he knows.
translates for her. 'She says Good Morning too.'
blinks. Oh, so he'd be doing the translations... "I'm Gabriel Henriques, Kingdom of Portugal..." he starts. "My men and I have found this land and it's our wish to.. Have a base here, perhaps some sort_
of commerce, and another place where my people could live too." he tries to put colonization nicely, finding it a bit hard. It's been a while since he's last done all this. "The land is rich and... quite_
something we could use to our favour."
translates it, watching the woman's face get gradually more and more sour until she's replying. 'She wants to know if we have a choice...' He looks a little worried, like a kicked puppy.
licks his lips, hesitating a bit. "I don't want to use of force, and your people still are the owners of the land but.. Trust me, ma'am, you don't want to see what my neighbours are doing in Africa."
doesn't think she will get the reference, so he shortly translates it as *No, but we'll get to keep the land...* She looks resigned, somewhat upset and tells the small nation her reply. 'They'll cooperate_
peacefully if anybody that comes does not leave their settlement for 6 weeks. The illnesses you bring...' He looks to the old woman, 'Their the worst part about you all.'
nods. "It'll be respected, but eventually, your people and mine are going to have to live together..." he knows about the diseases, shifting. "Besides, you also might have illnesses that affect my kind..."_
looks at the woman, trying to give her a reassuring smile. "We'll keep our cities near the coast, as well as our plantations. Would that work?"
translates that all as best as he can, watching the women nod. It looked like she was happy about that. She tells the boy something, ruffling his hair which earns her his brightest smile. 'She says it's okay.'
smiles brightly at that, nodding. "Eventually, if the two get along, which I hope so, we'll see about the countryside..." he shrugs, turning to William. "But you, mister, will need to study."
makes a face, complaining to the old woman in his mother tongue. She simply ruffles his hair however and speaks to him in a light chastising tone. '...fine.'
happy with their settling, and nods again at the woman. He knows his people will eventually learn the natives' tongue too, as once he spoke Tupi, and William will change the Portuguese he learns until he's_
demanding independence but.. that's for the future. "Thank you for your time, then, mistress. Now, Guilherme, I'll return to the ship and see how things are going. Are you staying?"
nods, translating the jist of that for the woman before nodding again. 'Yeah! I wanna stay here. Your food is funny.'
raises one eyebrow, humming. "Care to walk with me to the coast, then? I should depart soon, so at least a proper good-bye before I return?"
opens his mouth, but even if it's in another language the old lady knows what's coming and swats him over the head before pushing him towards Gabriel. He huffs, shoulders squared as he leads the man out. '_
Watch out for the snake... oh, and that frog.'
waves gently at the lady before he walks away, dodging the snake with a frown and the frog too. Right, he always ends up with the lands filled with wild animals and plants that could kill a bison. "I will_
leave today, later on, but some of my men will stay and begin to settle some foundations. I should come back in six months or so, maybe a year..." he pauses, turning to him. "While that, I'll leave some things_
with you too...And if you're attacked, do ask the people I settle here for help." he pats the boy's shoulders, serious.
blinks up at him before nodding. He guesses he will be seeing more of this guy. 'Okay...'
's presence will become quite a constant, yes. "I won't pressure you to call me father... yet." he huffs, pausing before he gently untucks the cross he wears on his neck, kneeling down and placing it on_
William's neck instead. "This is a wooden cross... Represents our saviour, Jesus, son of God. I'll teach you about it later but if you find yourself in danger, just clutch it tight and pray, yes?"
stares up at the older man like he's grown a second head... 'What's praying?'
((I'm sorry. He has to be the worst colony ever ;n; ))
pauses. "Well, the world, as we know, was created by a poweful, and superior being... We call him God." he gestures. "Praying is what we do when we want to talk to this God, and ask things, or thank him_
for the good things that happen... So you just close your eyes, and think as strongly as you can to what you want to say." he smiles.
((he's a brat, but he's so cute, too, I'm drowning in feels already...))
about this. 'Will he make you go away if I pray hard enough?'
pouts. "You're awful." He shifts a bit, looking away.
crosses his arms. "Am I that bad, or do you just have fun being cruel?" he nudges the other's cheek. "That's a no..." he nods after. "I mean, careful what you pray for, or I'll hand you to England."
looks a bit scared at the thought of that. 'I'll be good!' he promises, cheeks a little red after the nudge. 'I promise.'
smirks. The rest of Europe better not hear this one. "See, we're getting along... somehow." he sighs, then leans over and ruffles his hair. "Now give me a good-by hug."
makes a face. 'Do I have to?'
just tugs him close and hugs him. "Brat."
tries to scramble out of the hold, wiggling the whole time. He's making a noise - that sounds very similar to 'eeeeeww' - in his native tongue.
lets him go, laughing a bit. "There, Guilherme..." he sighs, standing up and walking off to the shore. He leaves five of his men to settle a basic fort and a town in the new land, ordering them and just_
waiting for the last minor issues to be fixed before he leaves again, sitting on the shore.
leaves him there, because he's a heartless child.
(( xD You have to earn his love~ ))
((aughhh, I'll try! should I make a new plurk to continue this?))
((Yeah. Just let me know if he's being too bratty xD ))
(can I skip a bit to 1910, just to y'know, give Gabi time to teach Will at least the basics of..yelp, everything?)
((I dunno how he'll take to religion though... ))
