/throws laptops at the wall
It freezes often, it skips horribly when playing audio or videos, it takes FOR FUCKIN EVER to do anything
goes all office space on it
I don't know what's wrong with it at all. Maybe it's a hardware thing?
LMAO LIKE JUST NOW it just took seriously 10 minutes to restart
Also when I open task manager, there is no program at all that is making it work so hard, all the stats are pretty low and calm, yet...
Could be hardware related. How old is the laptop?
It'll freeze over the smallest thing.
Almost a year old, I got it for my birthday last year. It's an Asus too.
Oh! I have that, and it does make it a little better, but the problem is still there... ;_;
That's odd D: Asus is a good brand, and a year isn't very old for a laptop.
Do you have any antivirus programs running?
I restarted to the factory defaults so I don't have anything up and running just yet 6~9
Ohhh thanks !!!
Oh, by the way.. Does your laptop run very hot?
No, actually. That's the weird thing about it, it doesn't seem to be working hard at all, not even hardware-wise, so I dunno what's up
Like it doesn't seem to be working hard and yet it freezes as if it is
Okay I figured out that the reason is because the HD light is constantly on for some reason and this is the cause of everything apparently!
Hmm! Sounds like something is making the hard drive work overtime.
That would explain the slowness.
I wonder if defragmenting it would help.. The same company that makes ccleaner also makes 'defragler'
Hmm I'll try it! I just did a chkdsk in command prompt and left it alone for the night but it ended up freezing at 12%
Damn, it's like the closer I get to fixing my computer, the slower it goes, this installation has taken about 20 minutes
Oh I let it run while I was at the dentist (just got back) so I'll see how it is.
I hope your dentist trip went well too.
It did! It was very hassle free and my dentist is a funny guy haha
hmm! my laptop seems to be a lot better for now, but I'll see how it is after awhile. I ran CCleaner too :3
Ah, my computer refuses to start at all after I tried restarting. It goes to startup repair only to say it can't repair anything.
Well I guess I'll wipe the entire hard drive and not just the c drive this time
Crud. Alright. Hopefully that'll do the trick then : ( There must be some kind of corruption somewhere on the hard drive.
You could try checkdisk again first maybe : (
