peeks at the Austrian, a curious grin on his face.
doesn't notice him, too caught up in reading.
notices that Roderich still doesn't see him, and sneaks closer, tiptoe-ing over to see what he's up to.
yawns again, pulling off his glasses and setting them gently on the desk before he stretches. He had been sitting for too long. He doesn't hear Gilbert sneaking up and wonders how he got so stealthy.
leans down, just behind him, quickly stepping backwards again as a pair of arms extends towards him. He takes a moment to compose himself, before leaning in again, just behind him. "Boo," he whispers loudly.
startles violently, bolting up from his seat and flailing an arm so he accidentally pops Gilbert on the nose, hard. What on earth! He whirls around, holding his hand. "What.. What is wrong with you!?"
yelps and jumps back again, covering his nose with one hand. "O-ow! I was just gonna see what you were doing, what's wrong with you? You're the one smacking me in the face here!" he cries exasperatedly.
glares at him, cheeks a bit red. "Idiot. You startled me, so it's your fault. And it was an accident. You should know better than to sneak up on people."
looks at him in mild displeasure, his nose very much still hurting. "You broke it, didn't you? My perfect face is gonna be ruined for weeks if it broke! I'm putting the bills on you!"
rolls his eyes and reaches to cup his cheek, examining his bruised nose. "Oh, you'll be fine. I just grazed you." What a baby. "Come, let's go put some ice on it."
lowers his hand reluctantly, bottom lip sticking out childishly. "Well, it /hurt/." Still, he follows him, not planning on turning down anything to cool his nose right now.
rolls his eyes again. "Good." He said, almost smugly. Though his own knuckles hurt a little, too. He led the way down to the kitchen where he used a clean wash cloth to wrap around some ice cubes.
glares vaguely at him again. "So you did do it on purpose, huh." Nevertheless, he followed the other down, slumping down in a kitchen chair.
ignores him, because he already told him it had been an accident. He walks over, holding the makeshift ice pack lightly to Gilbert's nose.
winces, but doesn't protest too loudly. He squeezes his eyes shut, trying to think of something else than the pain.
laughs softly. "Honestly, you're such a child. I'm sure you've had worse than this and you've never reacted this way." It wasn't as though he had packed much strength behind it.
puffs his cheek out a little. "I'm not a child!" he protests, though he doesn't argue with his point.
-"Could have fooled me." he smirked faintly at the other, amused. "Here," he gestured for Gilbert to take hold of the ice pack. "Hold on to this while I go pour you a glass of milk." He might as-
-well offer him milk and cookies for his troubles, ever if it was his fault.
