even when it occasionally does something serious, it never ever takes itself seriously

and a lot of the humor comes from the fact that the bad guys are always DEAD SERIOUS in what they are doing

except some of their plots are RIDICULOUS

I think the height of ridiculousness was the episode where they used PEN-SPINNING to destroy things and this was treated completely seriously by everyone involved

and the men of the group cross-dressed in the name of justice at LEAST twice

not to mention the puns oh god the awful puns

and the idol group formed by the two girls and the villainess

this was an actual thing that popped up several times throughout the show

the boys formed an idol group too but I'm convinced that was just to show off tokuyama hidenori's awesome music skills

oh and EVERYONE has an introduction phrase

EVERYONE

even the villains get them at some point

and absolutely everyone is completely over the top except for hiroto the straight man, and even he had his moments

why do people not like this show, man, it's comedy gold
