appears in his own suit, a poppy situated proudly in his suit lapel. 'He can't not ruffle Matthew's hair when he sees the nation dressed up for the event, beaming with pride. 'You're looking good Canadae.'

had the bad habit of slipping into Scots on days like this... ((I didn't know that there was a Canadian Gaelic... ))

blinked a bit at the ruffling of his hair and smiled at him when he heard that. "Thank you Gregory, you look good too." He always made a point of attending the ceremony's on this day. (Yep, mostly east coast.)

looks proud, 'Everyone should attend the ceremony on a day like this.' He shifts to look the other over, fixing his tie for him... more for something to do than anything else. 'Did you see England's big_

celebration. It's a bit much if you ask me. I prefer something more personal and a bit low key myself.'

smiles at that and looks a bit embarrassed at having his tie fixed but he really doesn't mind. "I agree and England has a different way of remembering from most." He shrugged a bit.

'What, you mean a way that centres round his royal tossers?' He finally lets the poor boy be when he's happy with the tie, smiling proudly.

smiles a bit at that, "shall we go then? It'll be starting soon.

nods, 'Aye, we should probably get going...' He starts to head to the door, 'I'm proud of you, you know. I can't even think of a time you started a war or were the first to declare it...'

followed him, tucking his keys into his pocket as he nodded, "I've never done such a thing, not even against Al." He pointed out and smiled. "I just come to help, my people are happy to help."

smiles, 'Yeah. But I remember you're bunch were a scary lot during the wars... My men respected them outta fear I think.'

locked the door up behind them and smiled faintly at the memory. "Ah well my men were more used to fending for themselves. The whole settling a country thing was still fresh to them."

lets Matthew lead the way, 'That's true. I guess you saw us as soft, huh?'

shakes his head, "I looked up to you. I think you've always been strong. I mean you have to deal with Arthur." He smiled, clearly meaning that in jest.

grins widely, going with the joke, 'It is trying at times, and I have been tempted to tie bricks to his feet and let him sink to the bottom of the river, but then again... he is family.' He shrugs.

nods as he walked with him, glad he didn't seem to mind. "Family is important and I wouldn't still think so highly of him if there wasn't a reason."

hums. Gregory does obviously care for Arthur, but the Brits never did have a healthy relationship with each other. 'I know you wouldn't.'

always been a bit saddened by that. He tucked his hands in his pockets as he walked. "Ah... I'm sorry about.... well Al and I... I didn't get to really apologize that time."

looks over, 'What are you apologising for... I mean, I guess it was a shock... Well okay, I'll accept your apology for having sex on the couch but... whatever makes you two happy.' He waves him off.

blinks a bit at that as he glanced over at him. "Thank you," he said a bit quieter than normal. "I just... felt like I should apologize for it."

hums, 'I'll live through the shock... And the couch has already been cleaned so you don't have to worry.'

nods still a bit embarrassed about the whole thing as he continued towards the old city hall.

follows the other, smiling a bit. 'He does make you happy though, eh?'

smiled at that as he looked over at him and nodded, "yes of course. I mean he can be an idiot but he's my idiot."

smiles back, 'As long as you're happy.' He tucks his hands in his pocket, breathing in the crisp autumn air. It had to be his favourite season by far.

nods as he fell into silence, the walk wasn't to long and soon enough he was lead Gregory around the slowly gathering group of people.

Falls silent as they reach the ceremony, expression schooled into a rather serious face.

stood silently as well when they reached their places, listening and watching everyone.
