chuckles. "My name is Antonio Fernandez Carriedo. You can call me Antonio." He sighs. "So what is your name? Were you in a hurry?"

blinks at him when he says his name. "Oh, I'm Chiara Vargas. I was just taking a walk. I'm kind of... new here."

nods. "I'm new here too. Well I mean I've lived here long enough to grow a garden but I never met anyone in the neighborhood." He sips his drink and eats another olive. "I'm thinking I should throw a party."

raises a brow at him, "A party?" That could be a fun way to kill time, and both she and Lovino have felt kind of lonely lately. "Let me know when you decide to have it. I might be able to bring... my brother."-

nodded, "si. That would be fun! Could I have your phone number? I can give you a call when I host it!" He pulls out some paper and a pen and hands it to her.

takes the pen and paper, "Yeah..." She quickly scribbles down her number then hands it back to him. He was rather cute, so she wouldn't mind him calling her.

folds up the paper and pockets it. "Gracias, Senorita. I'll make sure to have plenty of tomatoes at that party too!" He sips his drink and sighs happily.

smiles a little, "Grazie, I would appreciate that. Tomatoes are really the best."

takes the tomato and blushes slightly, "Ah..." She looks down at the tomato instead of looking at him, "I was... wanting to grow some sometime."

"Would you like me to give you some seeds? I have the best type of tomato. It's hardy and very juicy!" He pulls out a packet of seeds.

looks over the tomato seed packet. "...you just happen to carry this with you?"

chuckles, "Of course I do! Why wouldn't I carry seeds? I think it's a good way to make sure you'll always be ready to plant delicious tomatoes!"

he's strange, but yet he reminds her of someone she knows well. "...right." She snatches the seed packet from his hand.

his cheeks flush. It must be the alcohol. Or could it be her pretty face? He stares at her a bit while sipping his drink.

pockets the seed packet, then looks up to see him staring at her. "Uh, are you okay?"

for a moment. "uh.. si. I'm fine. Am I not okay?" He considers the question.

frowns, "You were staring. How long have you been drinking?"

mutters, "Not that long, I don't think.... I mean, not that much!" He blushes a little more and looks away. "I didn't mean to drink a lot or stare too much. Sorry!"

smirks at him, "You're not the brightest fellow around, are you?"

she's joking and smiles in return. "Oh, I'm pretty smart sometimes! I'm gifted in a lot of ways."

looks curious, "Is that so? What gifts do you have?"

responds, "Well, I can cook pretty well! I'm good at growing things. I can play the guitar too! I can dance like nobody's business."

doesn't look impressed, "I know a few people like that. Got anything else?"

pauses. "Well I also can fight a bull if I have to. I'd rather not, though. Oh, and I'm known as a passionate person."

nods, "I guess that's a bit more impressive." She looks out towards the street. "I can cook, I guess... I-I'm great at a lot of things though!"

nods. "That's pretty impressive! I bet you're multi-talented." He looks at his glass which is almost empty. "Would you like more wine?"

she's not getting too comfortable, she holds out her glass so he can top it off. "Just a bit more."

pours more wine into her glass to fill it up. "Ah, I'm glad you enjoy it!" He smiles, "So you have a brother?" He sips from his own glass.

sips her glass, "Mm, si. Though..." She looks away thinking about how to phrase it, "I only just found out about him, so we're still getting to know each other."

blinks. "Wow! That's amazing. It's good that the two of you are getting along so well, though!" He sips more wine. "Do you have any other siblings? Are you married or dating?" He could be forward and-

surprised at all the questions, "I-I have two sisters! And I'm single!" She blushed, feeling embarrassed. How could he ask that sort of thing so soon?!

she won't get too put off. "that's really interesting! I'm single too. I kind of have a sibling, but I don't really talk to them." He nibbles on an olive. "Being single is nice sometimes, no?"

frowns, "I guess." She sips her drink again. This was starting to make her feel depressed. This needed a subject change, "So how did you learn to fight bulls? Is it just because you're Spanish?"

if she hates being single. He tilts his head. "Oh, no... I trained a bit. It's really fun when someone charges at you with the fake bull. I think it would be more fun if a friend dressed up as a bull!"

stares at him for a moment, figuring he really is a simple-minded idiot. "You have an odd definition of fun." It was kind of amusing in a way.

chuckles. "I just find fun in a lot of different things." He polishes off the last olive on his plate. "Mmm. It truly was a treat having you here to talk to today, Chiara. Thanks for coming!"

sets her glass aside and stands up, "Thanks for inviting me." She gives him a smile. "I hope you don't forget to invite me to your party, Antonio."

she's being sincere. "Si! I promise I'll invite you! You'll be the first to know! Bring your brother along too! I want to meet him!"

smirks, "Oh, I'm sure he'll be excited to meet you." She had no idea they were already acquainted. "I'll see you later then~!" She waves to him and heads back to the sidewalk to walk home.

Chiara, he decides. She's a really nice girl. He hopes to see more of her. He waves at her as she walks away.
