Works well. Tested with a 4 hour straight continuous use with no problems.

Check your system settings -> sound and verify that input and output are routed to the right device.

the input says audio line-in port, the output says the headphones. but I can only hear them, they cannot hear me. I have tried using both just the single headphone jack and the double mic and headphone

You are very welcome. I had similar problems with the audio line in port and got the iMic adaptor which has worked flawlessly for a long time.
