I did have someone hack my ebay account and list about 30 pairs of ugg boots ... but ebay noticed almost straight away before I did

they deleted the listings and made sure i didn't incur any charges ... i just had to choose a better password

done 800+ transactions and never had any major issues...other than the odd non-payer, but ebay sorts that out.

books mainly, Open University books, teaching books, novels..sometimes the kids clothes if they are a decent make.

when the seller refused to take anything other than a bank payment, I did immediately report it to eBay who said it

was a communication error. I offered to pay by PayPal or via a whatchamacallit service, with us paying the fees.
