Several coworkers have commented on how I've gotten faster at making drinks. I'm glad to hear this! I'm still grateful for having very
supportive and friendly people to work with and support me along the way
The Shitty Shift Supervisor got fired last Monday. Apparently both the store manager and district manager were there to break the news.
Sometime while clearing out her employee pocket cubby thing (we have minimal store space), Shitty Shift ripped off the name tags on the
personal sharpie pens the store manager bought for everyone. So mature.
She either left mine alone (didn't hate me as much? didn't see it at the very bottom?) or couldn't finish ripping off the tape. My name is
still mostly in tact lmao
I saw a customer had a Silent Hill 3 tattoo (!!!) and did a double take at the handoff counter.
I squinted at his bicep and thought like 'shit I know that symbol' and complimented his tattoo
It was the... Halo of the Sun? I think that's what it was called. The red, circular save point symbol
I've learned a few new things while working full-time this week.
Always put drinks down on the counter. Don't ever hand them to customers directly. You cannot count on people to be careful
Too much potential for burns or spills even if it seems harmless asdfkljh
My last accidental handoff was a cold slush-like drink. The customer grabbed it by the dome lid and I was screaming internally
NO DON'T DO THAT THE DRINK WILL DEFINITELY FALL NO NOOO
But by some godly force the drink stayed in one piece
I learned a few customer names. One guy, Mohammed, lives close to the mall and just comes in every day for coffee. Doesn't work at the mall
or shop or anything, just a coffee
I know more customers by their faces; names are harder to remember
Uhhh fffff need to get ready for today's shift no more rambling
UHH OVERALL aside from this week's longass hours and the pain in my legs, everything's good
