以我所知好似部部都可以出中文,睇你喜歡邊部個「灰階」咁解。最緊要反而係資源,喺邊度搵到好多中文書睇?

Thanks, so I guess Kindle should support it right?

Yes.

I won't be available for awhile as I will be having the gallstones/gallbladder remover operation next weekend.

kobo只要把.ttf的字體檔放進去/font就能看中文

nereis: is kobo good in general?
Sherlocka

Gaamcoulia: will do... it is likely that I will be resting at home for 2 weeks.

I'd say it's okay, no experience with other e-readers though. Have you looked at the new kindles?
Sherlocka

No, I haven't check out the new Kindles as they have to be ordered online. That's why I want to checkout feedbacks and reviews b4 I purchase

Kindle only accepts the Amazon proprietary .mobi format books, so that sort of forces me to pick between kobo or nook.

If you only intend on buying books off Amazon that wouldn't be an issue though. I think Amazon's offer has more stable software,

but kobo gets software and sometimes new feature updates every few months, so in general it may be better down the road.

I was kind of counting on kobo's Rakuten acquisition/Japan launch to bring it more improvements, but so far it hasn't been significant.

Nook is nice in terms of the hackability since it runs Android, so it will take lots of apps from the Google Play Market once hacked.

But I am not too sure if it's worth the effort unless one just want to play with it.

nereis: Thanks for the great insight! I think it is clear that kobo would be a better choice for me if it permits various files or formats
