apparently one scam is to start out the call as a survey then switch it to a sales call. I never make it to that part.

I despise those calls. How do you all handle unsolicited calls?

I specifically say "Take me off your list" instead of "I'm not interested" because they have t

That's what I do as well. Although I'm not to sure "have to" means much to them. The only time I don't say that is when I want to have a

little fun with them. My favorite is, "can I get your home number, this isn't a good time for me. I'll call you back."

One of my friends dad's asks them to hold on, and waits a long time, then says,

"now that you feel what it is to have your time wasted, don't call here again.."

The one week I spent as a telemarketer, I heard some great ones.

"I no speak English" from people who clearly did

Something about not having elbows, and not having carpets.

I like to say I have to "ask my husband."

One time I answered at my mom's house. I acted like her secretary and told them the she charges $2.95 per minute to talk to telemarketers.

I offered to take their credit card number so we could get started. They really didn't know what to do with that.

They tried to explain to me that it doesn't work that way.
