I hate to see it go so... I'll just sulk quietly in my corner, since I understand the why of it.
Maybe you could have opened a mod app and found some new ones
if you're both going to quit, it might be nice to the players who still want to go on to actually leave it to someone.
Piipa, really. That's not fair.
You quit. That means you don't get to tell the mods who stayed what they should be doing.
NB has undergone changes over the past 9 months.
We've lost some players, activity has slowed, and there are many differing ideas on where to take the game.
And some people are emotionally, physically and mentally burnt out. Player morale is low, too.
You know how much work it takes to run a game on this scale.
Even the loss of a few players can cause collapse in a tightly plotted storyline.
Games don't run forever, but that doesn't change the fact that NB was great while it lasted.
This isn't the time to make unfair accusations against people who really did try their best.
I'd just like to thank all current and former players and mods for their hard work and creativity.
And if the game does continue under new leadership, that's fantastic.
But right now, many people need to step back and there should be no hard feelings about that.
And who I did accuse of anything?
I said it would be nice to leave it to players if they want to continue.
so don't put words into my mouth, thanks.
I don't want to sound like an ass here, but sana please keep in mind piipa was a mod until a couple of weeks ago,
so she is aware of how the game has evolved over that time. She also had concieved of and ran NB privately with Miri
before she tapped me and athena to revamp it into a public game. I can understand why she'd be upset to see the game close,
even if she's no longer a moderator.
I personally didn't see any accusations there and honestly just asked
the same thing on the post for the sake of those who may not use plurk or may not have wanted to ask themselves.
So I mean, I guess I'm hoping it isn't seen as a nuisance or bitching to ask about.
I just honestly want to keep playing and have loved everyone so far.
Alright. But I think the decision to close was appropriate. It was certainly given a lot of consideration.
And it was made after giving players the opportunity to offer suggestions and voice their concerns, both in public and in private.
The option of switching to a smaller musebox format to reduce the modding burden was dicussed among the players, but ultimately rejected.
I'm not going to argue this with you. It's none of our place really. I'm just still strongly suggesting that the mods will let people who
still have interest, continue with it.
It's a nice concept even if I say so myself! And it'd be really nice to see it go on if there just is any interest in it! o7
As I've told the two current mods before, if there will be any new ones, I'd be happy to help grasping the ropes and sharing any plot ideas
we had in the past with no pressure on my part to follow any visions that I've had.
