Also, yes - I opened them an hour early. JUST FOR YOU GUYS. (Also, I happened to be awake earlier than I expected to be.
)
Still looking for someone who might just be crazy (read: awesome) enough to apply Slenderman.
Someone needs to, oh yeah.
It sure would be. This game, by the way? Best.
Villains are hard to move around often times, an entire game for them? Holy crap, the horribles that can happen >3
It seems like a lot of games are very protagonist-heavy and if you do play a villain (or otherwise evil character, like Slenderman or, say--
a haunted house) it's hard to find them a good fit anywhere.
I agree. I'm a villain player.. in like, everything. Small theatre, LARP, RP, etc rofl bjkh. My friend looked at this and was like
I think you found a home. Hahaha
Ahahah aww, well, I hope you enjoy it and that the game works out.
I've been considering playing him for.... about a year now
Marble Hornets Slendy would be awesome, because. SHENANIGANS. But any slendy would be fabulous
ehehehehe. You temp me. (ill succumb and try him out)
Now, to acquire Jason Voorhees.
XD I know he's stupidly popular but I also have a Loki >.>
...I should make the Rot effect optional. It would be hard to have that happen to supernatural beings / forces.
MCU yes, but I also have a Myth!Loki
MCU was reserved, but myth Loki oooo
Though I don't see him as a bad guy just a chaotic force of nature >:3
Someone made a case for him at Last Voyages, from Prose Edda
I'm sure he'd be ok in CoR
Well he would be when he's in World Breaker mode. >:3
Do you mind if I reserve using my MCU Loki account?
Hold on, I have a popcorn emote somewhere...
But no, dude. I will love the shit out of your myth
and we will make glorious bad crap happen, yesss?
I have recently brushed up on it so... >:3 I just need to decide upon icons.
To give hiddles red hair or not. That is the question
if you use a redhead I will love you forevers <3
Someone used that uhm.. russian androgynous model for Myth Loki. I found it a fairly good fit
I can't remember their name.
Anyhow. I'll just breathe on you, I don't think we've ever red against each other! Excite.
Eff yes. Will get to work ^^
And slendy may be my own. I have my own head canon for him if that's okay?
I've put him down as marble hornets though for the time being
That's fine. There's not a whole lot of information in MH about him, anyway.
Just that he's a creeper. :|
Oh, hey. I actually have a question because I'm being picky with my samples.
How do they come across the device?
Immediately upon arrival in-game, once they've been given a room, the phone will be on the nightstand.
I was looking for a link like this, perfect!
The "Getting Started" page is linked when a character is accepted, along with the other instructions for joining.
...oh this is interesting.
D: I cannot post my app until I get back from worrrk.
socalramen: Apps will be open for a while, I promise!
Achievement unlocked, y/y
rancors: you better give me a villaiin
NO U i sent my app in again BT
RELEVANT TO THINGS
certainly do want to play slenderman now
Ooh, yes, need to finish mine up (the personality section is running away with me)
They do tend to do that, don't they?
I tend to word vomit when I'm writing an app.
I HAVE PLAYED A SLENDERMAN BEFORE
it was terrible
I'm starting to review applications now. Apologies for the delay!
Since I love horror films and villains there are so many others I could play but I either haven't before or not for a while.
e.g. Chucky from Child's Play.
Oh gosh, that would be amazing
...omg I have finally found a place I could happily play Ali Al-Saachez 8D
Haven't played him for a while. I usually play him in human form. (pre-doll) Also George Stark from The Dark Half and a bunch of others...
How would it work for characters with what tvtropes would call blue and orange morality? Like kyuubey from PMMM, or
basically, characters who are definitely villains based on the types of things they do/the perspective of the protagonists, but who do the
things they do because they're "good" from their perspective, or because they have no concept of their actions being "evil"?
I'm basically wondering how the city's reward/punishment scale would work for them, given that they might not understand it. Do you think
they could still work in the game?
I think, if I'm understanding you correctly, that this would be down to player discretion. If your character is behaving in a manner which
they believe is for the purposes of good, then it's up to you to decide whether to punish them for their good intentions or reward them for
Rorschach comes to mind. I mean..
He's not BAD but he sure as hell ain't GOOD.
You could even argue that Lucifer (in various canons, tbh) from Supernatural thinks he is doing what is RIGHT
Antiheroes are generally defined as those who are reprehensible people but are recognized as "good guys"
rather than a villain trying to be a good guy
Lex Luthor in the first few series of Smallville, I think, would be the sort of character the player above is describing
Doing what they think is right but ultimately working for the wrong side.
Lucifer, too? Obviously a bad dude but completely believes in what he is doing is for good
I haven't seen SPN, but yes, probably
I personally love people who blur the lines. I mean, you can make a solid case for some of the 'villains'
as to why they actually 'are right'. It's so gray and wonderful.
(But some are just down right horrible and love it, lol)
One of my favorite character types to play is the antihero because you get to play around with this absolutely horrible person
who's still good, just showing that not all heroes are the buff cape-wearing hotties.
I rewatched Watchmen and consider going through the comics again because Rorschach
and Jackie has just such a compelling presence playing his role
He is definitely an interesting and extremely complex character
I've never seen anyone play him for an extended period of time.
I'm actually talking about
this.
A lot of that type of character are villainous, but their villainy has to do with their inherent inhumanity rather than their personal
notions of right and wrong.
I think it would still come down to whether you personally feel they are "villainous"?
Yeah, I think this still comes down to whether you think they would be appropriate for the game and how you would handle their exploits.
I'm pretty easily convinced as a mod, so if it's someone you want and who you believe would work in the game, lay it out in the personality
A lot of the examples given on the tropes page* are people I can see working in CoR
* thank you, by the way, for the tropeshole.
You're welcome!
(I'm a helper like that.)
tyrmer idk you at all but please app Ali Al-Sanchez, my heart would explode from happiness.
