Maybe I will just give up on studio animation I'm tired of wasting time on portfolios and applications for studios that

Dont' want an artist like me so I can work on shows that I don't like.

And just do my freelance crap and focus on writing my own stories and making my comics even though

They aren't popular. I'd rather be unsuccessful doing something that matters than be unsuccessful working on stuff that doesn't

mean anything ot me and is at best a stepping stone

Ha ha maybe I should. When I was in high school I thought my career would be in children's books.

Yeah. It was never my dream to work in a studio, but I feel like I would learn a lot about production

And I gotta do something to make my living, but my years of apathy towards the studio are biting me back I guess

And I see people who I know are worse then I am getting work and I scream WHY!! into the heavens. Ha ha

i mean lots of more talented people get work too.

I don't know anything about the animation industry from the inside but I know that it really takes luck to get hired and maybe you'll find

something while hanging around calarts?? (sorry that took so long to finish i had to clean)

but yeah like you said if it's not something you think you'd be happy with then don't do it! it's your life in the end.

maybe you could work more on comics with a part time job on the side or smth...unless freelance is faster pays better

Yeah, I always wanted to work at a library ha ha. Working in a studio for a day job wouldn't make me unhappy, but the process does

And it's like is it worth the struggle for a job that would make me neither happy nor unhappy?

I just need to learn to organize my day better and put more energy towards my personal work!!!!!! Then I'll know I'm wasting less time

The freelance is more tolerable now that I have friends around

But we'll see. Maybe something will come yp.

Maybe you just need to try it out? Sometimes our preconceived notions of things are like SUPER WRONG.

Maybe if you get hired to an animation studio you'll love it a ton. It will be everything you ever needed in life.

Yeah ha ha and I'm sure it depends on the studio/show I work on. I'm sure it would make me happy in certain ways and

certainly more than working at macdonalds or something
