yep...he's an ass. But they boy can swim! We've established class and common sense is not a pre-requisite to being an athlete. Talent is.

I reject the "rolemodelization" of athletes. He didn't sign up to be a role model - he signed up to be a good swimmer - and he is that.

He is also 28 years old, hot and no famous. This behavior while disappointing really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Athletes have been

I dont really know much about Lochte, I've never met him or been around him. Would he have an ego? Yes, like most world class athletes

CatResch: Oh he's apparently an ass. Shock and awe - he's 28, cute as hell and on top of the world!

That article seems pretty slanted so would have to see others to compare.

BVerne: I disagree that they are responsible for being role models, but let's go with your argument. Thus far Lochte hasn't been on cereal.

From that epic piece of journalism Trebor cited, so far it seems like he's endorsing an exercise program and spectacularly tacky shoes.

And eventually a clothing line - none of those are aimed at children. Call me crazy - I think the kids of the US are safe from Ryan.

Personally I think everyone should calm down, enjoy the eye candy and be impressed as hell by his swimming.
