Then I could get mana from a Basalt Monolith, a Guardian Idol, a Mox Opal, and a Sol Grail. Add that to 8 lands (one taps for 2) and one --

-- creature to sac with Ashnod's Altar, and if I wanted to tap out and sac/drain all the counter artifacts, it adds up to 42 mana.
