I don't think Teddie has really had to deal with death on any real scale before then, especially not with someone he loves and cares for

even when everyone is out for blood from her alleged killer, he just stays by her side because he is so utterly devastated by this thing he

really doesn't have any experience with

he doesn't want revenge on Namatame. He just wants his friend back

fortunately Persona 4 wasn't the absolute soul crushing tragedy that 3 was so by the power of deus ex machina Nanako comes back \o/

but still

after 2 I wouldn't have put it past the creators to kill off a 6 year old girl
