an interview tomorrow. However, it's only a .33 position.
latest #8
what's the position? What is that, 1 1/2 periods of work?
Math position at a middle school. I'm guessing it's 2 periods or 1.5 hours of teaching.
That's what I figured - .2 FTE = 1 period of teaching. Benefits?
I don't know for sure, but I think most districts in the area require more than .5 for benefits, but a quick look at what I could find
online for the teacher contract, it looks like health insurance contribution is proportional to FTE. For example, if a 1.0 FTE teacher gets
$100 from district towards health insurance, a .33 FTE would get $33 contributed by district.
I'm think I may be able to find a .8 to 1.0 FTE elsewhere, but this interview is in the district I want to be in.
That is always a tough choice
