THE PLOT WAS TERRIBLE

like before i was judging it as a film but if we're going the hard scifi route then hahahahaha HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

for one i mean if you're trying to make a hard science fiction story? and all the characters are fucking scientists?

kills people one at a time in yes increasingly horrifying ways, pretty slow but horrifying ways

It's a Ridley Scott film as a lead up to Aliens ...so a lot of the concepts bleed over in that respect.

Also the deaths were different because of the continuous rapid mutation and development of the organisms I believe.

also if they tried so hard to distance themselves from aliens so i don't think the answers are actually in aliens

I got the general gist of it from the rapid development of the fetus actually. It doesn't necessarily have to be directly stated.

Halloway ingested the death from the capsule thing, Shaw had that crazy shit implanted into her with that crazy fetus, I think the biologist

straight out died.

And they didn't say what happened to him, or how those crazy cobra things were even connected.

They may have been just... around, which they didn't explain so it irritated me.

I thought the burned plastic/acid killed the geologist (who unfortunately ended up dying for having the sense to try and gtfo).
