Why did the movie Hugo give me so many feels. [Warning: Murray blabbers about dead people and stuff she should not have such emotions for]

Why did the 20 minute sequence about a minor character's backstory give me so many tear inducing feels.
IT WAS LIKE..RIDICULOUSLY ARTISTIC FOR A PG MOVIE AND I LOVED IT.
It was this 20 minute segment about the beginning of movie making and that whole era of the entertainment industry and I was kind of sobbing
I don't know why, but anything to do with the culture and the art of the 1900's-1920's gives me this ridiculous amount of feels.
The whole influx of optimism and the fantastical movies of the 1900's and this whole flight of fancy thing that was horrible crushed for
pretty much the entire duration of the WWI, and then for the world to just desperately caterwaul into the 1920's is so...
Thank you. uwu. And thank you for reading through all of that.
