3 Fave Authors: Charles de Lint, Haruki Murakami and ...hmmm
(those are the two I always buy without even reading synopses haha)
YESSSS /BROFIST FOR ALL THESE
Greatest lit inspiration and why: Jesus that's HARD
e. e. cummings because there was a time I didn't know you could do that with words, poetry or not
(there will be more than one sorry)
Kate Bornstein because the truth can be a hammer
and Charles de Lint because it was the first author that wrote something I felt could interest real life and fantasy in my waking life
Whose style do I imitate the most: I honestly have no idea. In RP probably people whose writing caught my eye and attention
but have long since stopped playing anywhere I know of
(there is an attempt to imitate that style, anyway)
For essays and things like that, no clue. I haven't read enough nonfiction to compare.
Neat! I totally agree with you wrt de Lint
the first book I read by him was Trader and it totally captrued me
Yeah. My first wasn't the Onion Girl but I'm not sure which one was.
Unless that was. I think I devoured a lot of his work within a year.
Also I meant to write "intersect" up there, not interest. Ah well, it's late.
I've bought pretty much everything I've found, even if it's reprinted from the early 80s
I haven't read them all, but I've read quite a bit. He's got a way with words
Not sure most of his works are meant for me, but I loved that one.
3 favorite novels: The Only Alien on the Planet by Kristen D Randle
A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
I cannot pick a de Lint book so it's not on here
