I have a lot of feelings about this whole "Teenagers can't be in love" bullshit.
Like, it doesn't have to be the last forever kind of thing to be love.
I'm sure there are some teenagers who think they're in love when they're not. But that's not a teenage thing.
And how can I love my family and my friends, but not have a romantic interest in another person?
Why is ROMANTIC LOVE off limits?
Why does a person age take away what their feelings actually mean?
My mom told me once that I'd never know what love was until I was ready to marry that person. AND I CALL BULLSHIT.
Because the first person you fall in love with is not going to necessarily be the person you marry.
I JUST REALLY HATE THIS CONCEPT OF ONLY KNOWING LOVE WHEN YOU'RE AN ADULT BECAUSE IT'S ADULTS ONCE AGAIN
TELLING TEENAGERS HOW THEY SHOULD FEEL
AND YOU SHOULDN'T TELL ME HOW I SHOULD FEEL. I FEEL HOW I FEEL. THAT'S HOW FEELINGS WORK.
supposedly high school relationships don't last either. Well,I met, fell in love, and entered a relationship with my sweetheart when I was 13.
We've been together for 2 years and counting, are doing this long distance, and have plans of marriage in about twelve years.
Is our love any less for our age? No. We may be a rare case, but certainly not the only.
And just because you're young it doesn't mean you don't love each other.
It's just frustrating to see people, especially when they're people my age WHO ARE JUST BARELY OUT OF TEENAGE YEARS THEMSELVES
telling other kids they don't know what love is.
heck, some teenage relationships last longer than some adult marriages.
