I'd laugh if he all ready actually has everything written, and is just sitting on it. 8| And by laugh, I mean punch him.

I'd punch him too. So hard. A friend of mine thinks he's got all of WoW done, that he needed it as part of the deal with the show.

i hate gaiman but he sums up how i feel about this attitude to grrm writing

i don't think he's my bitch, but i do think writing the book is his job

and you're kindof expected to do your job

like, i don't expect him to do nothing but write but i expect him to write SOMETIMES and various things make me strongly suspect he's not

idk I felt like ADWD came slowly because he essentially wrote the book twice:

once when it was part of AFFC, and then again when he encountered his gordion knot of wanting to timeskip without dany doing anything

and had to basically write all this content where he got his characters to a point where he could do that, but he'd already written stuff

going on elsewhere in the world so he had to work within those boundaries in terms of characters available/what he mentioned was going on

so WoW is going to be: events that were meant to be in ADWD but had to be put off, finishing the resolution he's finally decided on

and basically stuff that i feel will be a lot easier/faster to write? but the attitude that if he's doing cons/holidaying/watching tv

then WoW is going to take ten years is really, really shitty. yes writing is his job, but he kind of doesn't work for you.

ADWD took a long time because he had massive narrative problems, a popularity boost, and who doesn't procrastinate when something is hard

maybe i'm wrong but it hasn't even been a year since the last one, so until i have had to wait an unreasonable amount of time i reserve the

right to, idk, not particularly care what he's doing with his time?

oh for sure, i'm not expecting it anytime soon. but avoiding the issue doesn't exactly help his case
