Although I'm still on Facebook, I'm only there so when someone sends me a facebook link, I can see it. Almost all of my SL friends who were on facebook either left or are only there nominally.

The big exodus happened when Facebook started deleting 'non real' identities. And a lot of people threw up their hands and said 'the hell with you then'.

It seems that the only people in sl that I know that use facebook regularly are the italian and french art communities.

That said, I think a company presence on facebook might be a good idea, in combination with using their targeted ads....

I will be very interested to see how this goes.

..... not everyone in SL is an oldbie... so things might have changed.... heh

Oh, one more thing, there are thousands of SLers on plurk and those who have huge friend lists who use Plurk to promote blogs and products have had some amount of success afaik. Hamlet Au for one.
