Oh yeah I had an early shift at the shelter today. Some woman thought it was a good idea to bring in a raccoon in a box.

and my coworker/volunteer opened the box and it was like
"it kind of looks like a cat"

"good enough right?"
She didn't know where else to take it
to a wildlife center...
and I was just unlucky enough to be working on the cat side today
I gave her the number of a friend in wildlife rehab
and was like "okay here go here"
xD the woman who opened the box was so freaked out
She was like "Ooooh what do we have here?" SLAMS LID DOWN
Like, I wish we could have helped it
but we are seriously not set up for that
