Yeah, I'd totally figure different answers depending on whether one had children to look after or not.
if it was get my kids off and leave my husband, id have to. otherwise, no way in hell

Well the original question involved my SO, in which case no, I would stay with him, my kids would be a dif story obv. 
if it were just me yeah I'd stay with my SO and die with him, but not if i had kids
i would go to save the kids
Yeah, I don't think I could come home and face my in laws and tell them that I just left my SO to drown.
but if i were a guy I would MAKE my wife get on the boat and save herself
I'd have to make up some crazy Schettino story about how I fell into a boat and I don't think I could do that.
