Brandon, I used to teach industrial arts/technology ed. Am still licensed to teach it but I teach special ed now.

I am so frustrated with the direction education is going, that I am thinking of getting out. Not sure yet.

Special ed saved me. Finding an ind. arts job is getting harder and harder.

Don't get me wrong. I love to teach. I love to teach ind/art. But the way things are heading, no one seems to care about ind/art.

We don't have Industrial Arts anymore. The position had gone from full-time to 3 periods. The last guy was awful. Too bad - kids need it.

I loved teaching it too. Especially with the new technology coming out.

I taught almost everything but welding.

I knew how to do it, just never taught it.

our industrial arts teacher is retiring this year - many kids love his class and I'm hoping they replace him

so many of our spots have not been filled when teachers retire
