spots him on his way back from the grocery store and he waves, smiling in greeting. "Guten Morgen, Ludwig."

paused and looked over at returning the wave. "Guten Morgen, Roderich. What are you doing out this early?"

shrugs a little. He gestures to the paper bag in his left arm. "I couldn't sleep, so I figured I'd get a few things out of the way."

nods a bit, "if you don't mind me asking, why couldn't you sleep?"

smiles.

smiles. "If I knew, I'm sure I would have figured out a way to remain asleep. Why are /you/ up so early?"

laughed a bit at that, "makes sense. I'm always up this early. The dogs have a schedule." Well he had one... not so much the dogs.

arches an eyebrow. "The dogs, huh?" He chuckles softly. "Right."

doesn't know what he means by that as the dogs sat patiently next to him. "Yes... the dogs."

hums, not believing it. "Cold, isn't it?" He tightens his scarf around his neck a little.

shrugs a bit, it was cold out, he stuffed his hands into his pockets. He'd forgotten his gloves. "Yeah."

clears his throat softly. "I should let you get back to your walk."

nods, "I should let you get back home." This was a bit awkward.

doesn't understand why things are so awkward between them now, really. "Right." He looks a bit defeated as he walks past him.

doesn't really understand it either. He paused for a moment, "would you like to come over for breakfast? I was going to make eggs, bacon and

potatoes."

glances at him. "I wouldn't mind that."

smiles, "good then..." He paused, "do you need help carrying the groceries?"

shakes his head, smiling in return. "I can handle it." Though they really were getting heavy.

nods, "alright. Well let's go then." He started back in the direction of his house, the dogs eager to get back now as well.

follows close beside him. "The dogs seem to be in a good mood this morning."

chuckles, "yeah. They're probably excited for the treats I know Gilbert sneaks them."

smiles. He follows him. That sounded like Gilbert.

took the short cut back to his house, he opened the door and let the dogs in first. He followed him in and took his boots off.

looks around, still holding on to his groceries. "Where can I put these down?"

blinked at the question, "oh you can put them down in the kitchen if you'd like. They'll be safest there."

nods and sets the bags down, feeling a little guilty for cluttering up Ludwig's counter.

didn't think he should feel bad about it. "Anything that needs to be kept cold you can just put in the fridge in the bags."
