The second season is really good too except that the ending is awful

one of the worst endings I've ever seen.

And it's not even like, the last episode sucks or something

it's just the last five minutes

but that five minutes is full of enough concentrated bullshit to outdo the wettest of Gainax's dreams

hahaha that is pretty much the best way to put it, tbh.

however up to that point I'd say it was even better than the first season

so I'm not trying to scare you off. Just go into it braced for what awaits you.
