That's usually true CM, but we let the fire die out a couple of days ago so all the rooms are about the same right now. Colder weather on

the way I know, so we'll need to start it up again today.

Heating with fire is tricky. I know this because a friend of mine told me this story about her fiance:

He was supposed to put wood on the fire, or in the wood burning stove. He did so with enthusiasm.

The fire got so hot that the switch plates near the chimney/exhaust pipe thing melted and the wiring in the wall was fried.

ouch!!
