The writing is competent but it's just so dull.

The first third of the book is pretty much the words "gotta go fast!!!" repeated over and over until you want to punch someone.

I'm liking Alpha Trion's voice a lot more than I thought I would. I don't usually like him.

His little interrupting memoirs were my favourite part, I think.

I would read the hell out of a book that was nothing but grandpa Trion's stories.

Yeah, it was that last one that prompted this. There better be more by the time this damned book's done or flipping of shit will happen.

I won't spoil anything, but if Vector's appearance doesn't make you flip at least a little shit, I will be surprised.
