Anyone have experience with using melatonin for sleep? Any downsides?

I use melatonin as an immune booster, however I've used it for sleep in the past

it does not work like a sedative, so don't expect it to. and don't take it when you aren't sleepy because that's no fun.

Does nothing for my BF but nothing helps him sleep... and I had a supervisor that thought it made her off but well she was off normally sooo

also, the dosages sold OTC are generally too large. no one needs 3mg when 1 mg will work exactly the same

so try cutting them in half. upping the dosage will not make a diff - its not a drug

the ped prescribed the doseage to be take 3 to 4 hours before bed time and it helps them to sleep longer.

It comes in 1 mg and then goes up we use 1 mg for one and 3 for the other.

adrena-calm. It's a lotion, and it is much more effective at giving me good sleep all night.

gets it from my naturopath. my chiropractor sells it too. I would ask any alternative medicine practioner. It's great. And very safe. I use

with one we use it along with calms forte as she sometimes struggles to fall asleep but it does keep them both asleep and it helps them stay
