he looks.... well... interesting, at least...
staring down at his dress now, wondering how it looked like petals....
watches him from behind a tree. He had pretty petals, at least....
sighs, flopping down onto the grass, unaware of the flower watching him.
fidgets, wanting to go closer but nervous. She moves to take a step and trips over a root of the tree.
startles a little when he hears the thump,, sitting back upright and looking around for the cause
glances over at him, her petals turning pink from embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry..."
hurries over to help her up, seeing as she wasn't an enemy. He shakes his head. "N-no, no worries miss...."
turns redder and lets him help her. "I should have noticed it..."
smiles a little reassuringly. "Don't worry, I do stuff like that all the time eh?"
pauses before laughing faintly. "I do too...."
smiles. "Yeah, so don't be embarrassed."
nods. "Okay, I will try."
nods, smiling at her softly still. "Good." He goes to sit back down in the grass again.
pauses before following him.
blinks when he notices, turning back to her. "...y-yes...?"
turns pink. "S-sorry, I've just not seen many flowers like you. None with petals like yours, at least...."
blinks, flushing a bit as he looked down at his dress. "U-uh well... I-I'm pretty sure this isn't petals though...."
tilts her head. "They aren't?"
shakes his head. "W-well I mean... they're not a part of me, you see...?" Just things I wear..."
slowly reaches out to touch it. "Oh.... well it's still pretty."
flushes a little, but lets her. "U-uhh... thanks, I guess..." he still had no idea where it had come from or how he had ended up in it.
crouches a little to look at it closely, trying to figure out what it was.
fidgets a little, watching her and still blushing. He wsan't sure what he was supposed to do.
"It doesn't feel like petals, either..."
shakes his head. "I-it's fabric..." Not that he knew what kind, but he knew it wasn't petals...
turns her attention back to the skirt. She'd heard that word before but couldn't place where....
pretty sure if she met the hatter she would know. He watches her still, embarrassed that she was so closely examining the dress he tried to
hadn't met the hatter. Her petals turn pink and she quickly stands up. "S-sorry, I didn't mean to stare!"
blushes still, shaking his head. "N-no worries.... j-just not used to it..." >//>
shakes his head again. "U-uhm, if I may add though, your petals are lovely..." he wasn't sure what to say. So a compliment would work right?
's petals turn red. "Oh, thanks...."
blinks at the colour change. The pink had been subtle, but the red was quite different. "Woah..."
blinks. "A-ah, I'm sorry?"
blinks. "Your petals changed colour..."
nods and looks at the ground, embarrassed. "Y-yeah, they do...."
smiles. "That's really cool!"
glances back at him. "It.. it is?"
nods. "...I think so at least."
a small curtsy. "Thank you.."
smiles a little at her. She was kind of cute. "S-so uhm... what are you then..? I'm not very good at types of flowers...."
fidgets. "I'm just a daisy...."
blinks in surprise. "Really? I've never seen a daisy do that..."
glances away. "I know, it's strange." The other flowers usually made fun of her for it.
hums softly. "Well... I still think it's awesome. You can do something neat others can't," he smiles.
's petals turn pink again. "Thank you..."
smiles at her again before laying back in the grass. "Ahh...this world is so different from home.." after all, here he was, flirting
tilts her head and sits down nearby. "Oh? Where are you from?"
hums. "...I haven't the slightest idea what you call it here...."
glances around. "Well this is just the garden. The white and red kingdoms are nearby, but I've never been too far away from the garden."
shakes his head. "I don't... no I mean I came from another world I guess...? I'm not even sure how to describe it. I live in Canada
laughs faintly. "That's a strange name for a garden."
hums. "Well it's... not a garden, you see. We do have gardens there though, but the flowers don't... tend to talk...."
blinks in surprise. "They don't? That must be dreadfully boring for the flowers..."
shrugs. He didn't really... think they were sentient. Or at least had never thought about it until now. "Y-yeah, I guess...."
lays down in the grass. "Not that flowers have interesting conversations."
hums, looking over at her. "They don't?"
shakes her head. "Not really. They mostly gossip about each other's petals..."
smiles a little. "Sounds like the girls of my world," he laughs a little.
glances at him and laughs. "They do? I don't really talk much with the other flowers."
chuckles. "Yeah, always gossiping about each other. You're probably better off that way..."
smiles faintly. "Probably. My brother always told me not to bother with them."
smiles, looking over at her. "You've got a brother?" Somehow he assumed all flowers would be female...
nods but pauses before speaking. "He's not a flower, though..."
nods. "He looks kind of like you except his peta- I mean... fabric, was different. It looked less like petals."
tilts his head a little. A flower with a human brother? Weird. "O-oh, I see...."
turns pink and glances away.
blinks, but can't help but smile a little. "Is he as sweet as you are?"
blushes but nods. "He is very kind... Though I don't think the flowers quite liked him. He used to try to stop them from talking about me."
hums softly. "Well I mean, that makes sense though. Trying to protect his little sister..."
smiles. "Yes, he was always very sweet and kind."
nods. "That's good to know then.." He was happy to find another sane person...ignoring the fact she was a flower. the fact she was a flower.
((aha oops ignore my mistake /).(\ ))
"You seem to be very nice too." She smiles at him.
chuckles at that. "You're the first here to tell me so..."
laughs faintly. "Everyone here is a little strange in their own ways."
hums. "...so I've noticed.." He still had the teapot with the mouse in it with him, too.
"My brother always complained about it, but I like it."
"...I find it a bit odd myself, I can't quite settle. And then there's all this stuff about a war..." ><
sighs and nods. "My brother is with a group trying to keep the garden neutral by keeping others away. It hasn't worked too well..."
hums softly, glancing around. "Ah, I wish him luck with that..." So it probably wasn't a good plan to try and get her to join the hatter.
watches him. "Is Canada kingdom involved?" She wouldn't be opposed to joining a side but only if she felt it was important enough.
shakes his head. "Canada doesn't even know about this place..." he hums. "I think I've been drafted into the side against the red King.."
nods slowly and looks up at the sky. "I see..."
nods a little. Ah, he still had no idea how it had happened so fast, but oh well. He'd lose his head if he betrayed the hatter now..
sighs sadly. "I wish the war didn't have to happen...."
sighs too. "Yeah, I'd agree... it's never nice.."
glances at him. "But if you're from Canada kingdom and you're the only one fighting for them, why do you have to at all?"
looks over at her. "U-uh well... as I said, I think I was drafted.... t-the hatter said I'd lose my head if I betrayed him...."
frowns. "That's just awful... Maybe you could hide in the garden...?"
blinks. "w-would I be allowed..?"
smiles and nods. "My brother and I would keep you safe."
smiles a little. "I-I think I'd like to... this world is very strange to me...."
scoots a little closer to him. "And you'll have to tell me about the Canada kingdom! My brother's told me about the Switzerland kingdom and
it sounded so weird but I would very much like to see it sometime."
sits up a little, laughing softly. "Uhhh well I can do that..." He thought it a little weird to call it a kingdom though. "What would
grins, excited. "Anything! I just want to hear about everything strange there."
hums, trying to think. "Well... first off, we have a Queen, but she doesn't live there... there's people like me everywhere, and we have
big tall office buildings and stuff, which we have to go to work in..."
blinks in surprise. "There's lots of people like you? I've only met three.."
nods. "Billions. We're the only creature that can really speak like this, too..."
's eyes go wide. "That sounds really fun... but I think it would get a little scary at times, wouldn't it?"
shrugs. "Depends on who you meet I guess..."
pauses. "But there would be so many people to talk to..."
nods. "There's no way to meet them all..."
nods and glances at him. "That's true, I guess... How do you know how many people there are, though?"
hums at this, thinking about it. "I suppose the governments take surveys in every country, and someone adds it all up...
frowns. "Why? If there's so many people, wouldn't it take a long time to count everyone?"
nods. "They do it every like four years or something..." He had never really thought about it in depth though.
hums quietly. "It would probably be really difficult to do something like that here."
hums softly, glancing around. "...yeah, likely..." this place seemed impossibly unorganized, really.
sighs. "Everything here is so interesting but I have to stay around the garden."
glances over at her. "You can't travel?"
"I can, but it worries brother when I do."
"Ahh... perhaps you can convince him to take you, then...?"
smiles a little. "I'm sure he'd understand."
smiles faintly back. "Okay, I'll try."
nods, smiling at her. "Good luck eh~"
laughs under her breath, smiling back. "Thank you. I'll probably need it."
