...STILL?

so for a while now the cover for my laptop battery has been kind of. popping off

and I mean for a WHILE, like, a year, it would pop off a little but I could always get it back on again

WELL

last night, it refused to stay on right.

I fiddled with it and discovered that this was the battery's fault.

except the more I tried the worse it got

and then finally

around the time my dad got home from work (3am here), I was fiddling with it again

and he came in and tried it

and we finally discovered that, sometime in the few minutes that he had been home, the battery had just plain split open.

...welp. SURE CAN'T USE THAT.

and with THAT it wasn't possible to get it to stay in ANYWAY

so now, until we can get a new one, my laptop quite literally has no battery.

I cannot unplug it.

so now we need to go to the Apple store at the mall to get a new one

but since the highway is CLOSED this weekend

we can either go today, or we can go next weekend.

and I'm feeling kind of lazy but HNNNNNN BATTERY ;A;

but for now, I must keep my cat from unplugging my power cord like she so often does.

given that this is the same battery it's had since we got the computer

and this thing is... how many years old now /checks

...almost 3 years old now. since Christmas 2008.

that's a damn good lifespan for an Apple battery.

...geez
